Merchant Scan Transactions Failing on Tata Neu App from Credit Card

The transaction fails with the above message.

However it goes through with bank account OR with same credit card with another app.

Has anyone else faced the same? A solution would be appreciated.
 
Neu Infinity provides 1.5% on UPI ONLY for transactions made on Neu app and if it fails , it defeats whole purpose pf this card. Anyway most small merchants have switched OFF UPI on Rupay Cards.

Reasons that made me stop using Tata Neu Infinity LTF after they mandated using the Tata Neu app:
  • I do not like Tata Neu app since the beginning - its too much cluttered, buggy, and slow, painful for even BigBasket orders. Often need to reopen it multiple times due to poor optimization.
    • This was when I used with WiFi, and they expect us to use in offline stores with mobile data, which is even worse for me.
  • HDFC provides only 0.5% cashback, and Tata Neu gives 1% only if paid through the Neu app (when it works). Sometimes, transactions don't show up, and Tata Neu claims they weren’t done via their app, they trust their app 100% perfect and chat bot solves all our problems.
  • NeuCoins are now unlocked per transaction date, not cumulatively like earlier:
    • Buy on 1st, coins unlock on next month’s 1st
    • Buy on 9th, coins unlock on next month’s 9th
    • This means waiting 30+ days to redeem for all transactions.
      • Earlier:
        Purchase something between 1-30 and ur statement is 1st then u'll get neu coins earned for that month at a time to redeem.
  • Subsequent transactions not allowing in tataneu app for me, 1st it allows and I paid using CC but next it says CC not allowed. Same card with other app works fine multiple times.
  • And as u mentioned sometimes it fails with that app (this I observed with other apps also sometimes but more cases with neu app).

The solution to this issue is fingerprint. Remove your fingerprint from the Tataneu app and add it again, voila transactions will start working again.

I don't why they don't show the exact issue. I called customer care and they told me to this to make transactions work again.
