I think they have something like 1799 for 365 days with unlimited calls and very limited internet quota .. right ??
You should go for that..
I know airtel has.. not sure about JIO
Jio also have this
Jio has ₹1599 plan with unlimited voice calls, 3600 SMS, unlimited 5G and 24 GB 4G data for 336 days.
Maybe to earn more?😅why corporates are determined on changing months into 28 days and years to 336 days?
Yes, I think you can stack same denomination..and also like for 5 years as wellThis 1599 Plan looks interesting thanks. I'll try it. Jio have no issues with Plan stacking right?
nope u can stack any plan with any planThis 1599 Plan looks interesting thanks. I'll try it. Jio have no issues with Plan stacking right?
Does the same denomination means I can't stack different plans? My current plan will not be effected if a do a yearly recharge now right?Yes, I think you can stack same denomination..and also like for 5 years as well
Thanks for the confirmation.nope u can stack any plan with any plan
You can, new plan will remain in queue, it will get activated once your existing plan will get expired or when you choose to activate manually at any time.Does the same denomination means I can't stack different plans?
No, it won't.My current plan will not be effected if a do a yearly recharge now right?
yeah mostly section 18 stuff from what I'm getting, as for the bill in my name that really limits it, thanks for the info though, I'll talk to my HR on mondayHey nope, my employer limits it to broadband or postpaid bill(1 number only). So can't claim for entire family.
Regarding CC/DC, the bil should be in your name to claim the benefit. For backdating, only bills in current FY will count and only some flexi benefits are allowed in new regime.
yeah agreed, all telecoms are taking advantage of it and its fucking bullshit, we really need DOT to step in and regulate the prices but those fuckers are tight lipped now.Yes, I have broadband. That's the main issue. I have 5 active SIMs in my home and I am spending around 12K annually for prepaid recharges, whereas my broadband costs only 399 per month.
So, technically, I am paying around 12K just for calls. I don't need their internet because it is terrible in my area. So, it's a simple waste of money for me, and now they are planning to increase the plans even more, so it may cost me around 15K in future.
What about Airtel? Can I stack up 479 recharge over my current 666 recharge ?jio = yes
Why? Are prices for other rhings regulated? Even utilities like electricity and petrol go up each year.yeah agreed, all telecoms are taking advantage of it and its fucking bullshit, we really need DOT to step in and regulate the prices but those fuckers are tight lipped now.
You need phone service? You pay for it. There is a specific minimum cost regardless of whether you need some features or not. You need 2 lines, pay 2x. You need 5 lines, pay 5x. You want 20 lines? Pay 20x. Don't cry. It's like saying I have 5 cars and now have to pay for fuel and insurance for 5 of them. The cost of telecom in India is WAY TOO LOW even when compared with other developing countries. There is nothing wrong in telcos expecting at least Rs 300 per month for basic service. It is extremely reasonable regardless of how poor you are. You take a bus or the metro to commute daily? You pay around 100. You eat something daily? At least Rs 50 for the poor and 500 plus for middle class. So don't cry about spending one days of expenses on a month of mobile service. Mobile companies are not running a charity. Why don't you cry when petrol goes up? When taxi fares rise?Yes, I have broadband. That's the main issue. I have 5 active SIMs in my home and I am spending around 12K annually for prepaid recharges, whereas my broadband costs only 399 per month.

I understand that because of Jio, every Indian is now using the internet, and that was a great revolution. But now they are trying to take a huge advantage.
I have provided speed test results for the Jio 4G in my area. Why should I pay for that? But I still have to because I have no other choice. This was not the case before. They should at least provide affordable call-only plans.
Speed Test: https://www.speedtest.net/my-result/a/10161699043
Speeds are mentioned in Mega Bits Per Second so the actual speed is only 411 KBps for download & 128 KBps for upload.

Nice justification for predatory pricing...launch for free, kill entire competition and then increase the pricethis is such an idiotic and honestly a self-absorbed take, I have many complaints against Reliance/Govt including the way they handled the 4g spectrum auction and all the bullshit with AGR but Jio has been a blessing for poorer and even middle class people, if telcos had a way they would still increase prices and give us those bullshit 1gb/2gb a month packs where you still had to pay for calling.
Dunno about you, but atleast here, my help finally got a phone when they got unlimited calling, we have another guy who had a 20k following on tiktok (back when it wasnt banned), folks who I have personally helped upskill by giving them youtube playlists/textbooks, folks who can finally stay connected to internet and have a way to learn where in the olden days they would have had none except for whatever crap textbooks shoved at us.
Maybe for folks in tier1/2 cities, its not as big of an impact specially if they had broadband, but you dont know the impact it has had for those in tier 3 cities where decent network reception was a dream with no broadband facility, my father used to spend close 3k/month to get a plan on one of those mobile dongles so that I could learn or do whatever on the internet and I was probably the only one in my school who had free net access.
Jio and smartphones in general has been a boon for the lower class, they finally have a medium by which they can learn by themselves or do whatever. Yes, govt should regulate telco price increases and yes Jio did pull shady af shit but dont discount the entire thing just because "they made us addicted".
Coming back to the topic, has there been any price increases announced? I havent seen any, I'm thinking of porting to BSNL as there'a 4g tower recently setup in my area according to Tarang Sanchar, I have a fiber connection so main thing will be to keep it active and a little bit of calling
no idea .What about Airtel? Can I stack up 479 recharge over my current 666 recharge ?
Yes, I gotHave you tried this. I am also on 1799 plan. Does it give additional 365 days validity.
