Mobile recharge price hike by 25% - (just a hunch/speculation it not hiked yet or may never hiked as much as 25%)

My current plan will expire on 11th Jan 2025 can I recharge again ? Will the validity get extended more ? I am using airtel
Please tell which plan you are using currently.
I am not able to understand the concept of 730 days
It means that if you are on a 1799 plan for 365 days and as in your case 231 days of validity is left then you can do another 1799 recharge to get a total of 596 days of validity. But if you do another one it will be 961 days which is greater than 730 so you will not be recharged more than 596 days and the amount if deducted will be refunded.

Ok so in short you mean to say my current validity + new pack Validity should not be more than 730 days ? right ? Btw I am using 3359 plan

Q1. Since the validity has increased to maximum in double recharge for Airtel user what happens to recharges like 301 which gives validity till the plan
Q2.since we are talking about hike on recharge price what happens to 4g plans when 5g is monetized (Means when 5g plans are chargeable they will have to reduce the price of 4g plans or else 5g plans will definitely be unaffordable)

Instead of making 4G affordable, they will merge 4G and 5G and then increase the prices for everything. This leaves the user with no choice.

Personally for me it’s better. I’ve taken Airtel Black plan (2 Postpaid + Fiber). It costs me 1179(999+GST). I pay this bill using Axis Airtel CC which gives me 250 cashback monthly. And I submit this postpaid bill to my employer for tax exemption, so another 30%(approx 370) tax savings here. So net net I’m paying 560 for this plan.
how do you get tax exemption on internet bill

Why? Cost of everything goes up each year and in fact every few months. Food has gone up so much in restaurants. Petrol is up. Doctors and lawyers charge 4x today compared to a few years earlier. Buying a shirt costs thousands now. People are happy to spend 1k to 5k on a family outing or buying a shirt or 500 on a pizza or Starbucks but cry when asked to pay even 300 for one full month of telecom with 5g service, a lot of data and unlimited calls. This mindset needs to change. Like everything else, it is reasonable to expect a hike in telecom tariff every year.

They are luring us into a trap, which is why it's concerning. Does everyone buy expensive clothes? No. Does everyone spend ₹5,000 on dining? No. Does everyone drink Starbucks? No.

But in the case of recharges, Jio made everyone so addicted to it by offering it for free that now no one can live without it. First, they offered everything for free, and now they are continuously increasing the prices.
