Multiple hard inquiries from Axis

I applied for Axis bank Magnus credit card offline with income proof and other document yesterday. Person visited my home and did biometric for Aadhar and live photo. Application no was generated and I saw a hard inquiry on my CIBIL So far well and good.

Today I receive a call from a guy claiming to be from Mumbai team. He informed me that sir you did an application yesterday for credit card where biometric and live photo was taken. We need to do one small process on your Axis Mobile app. He asked me to go through "apply now" part of credit card, I asked that it should not generate a new Inquiry on my Cibil and he said no sir, you have already applied this step is just because of you have "Pre-approved" offer for Magnus. After this is done, I saw another inquiry on my CIBIL from Axis.

@TechnoFino and other experts, how to get this extra inquiry removed? Their customer care team is useless. Should I wait for decision on my Magnus card before escalating this to PNO? Axis already has damaged my credit report in past when I had no clue on these inquries. Please help.

ek bar apply karne k bad phir apply nai karna tha reapply kitne bar kro uthne bar inquiry aayegi ab card approved hua ya nai uska update dena bhoi

happened with me also, they did cibil enquire twice, but cibil score is improved after that.
 
For an additional hard pull it is not worth the effort to dispute it. The likely impact of this is nearly 0 on its own.

If you score goes down more than a mere few points then you have an issue elsewhere.

At start of year 3 inquires instead of 1 because of Axis employees issue and at that time I didn't had much idea on credit reports and I couldn't dispute.
1 mid year because of CC reject for no reason.
Now 2 more queries

So would prefer to get this extra query removed.

Just mail to the PNO. When I applied for a card sometime back, due to their technical issues, 3 hard inquiries were made just for one application (just Axis things) They even removed my genuine inquiries from 2021 after I wrote a long mail criticising their inability to correct their backend issues. 😂

Your Credit Card application for Axis Bank Vistara Signature Card with reference no XXXXXXX has been declined. Pls call 18604195555 if you did not apply-Axis Bank

I am already holding this same Axis Bank card ending with XXXX for close to 2 months. Is the bank drunk or what?

Also, it is high time that Axis Banks needs to take a look at its backend issues. At a time when most banks are trying to take initiatives to make overall experience for customers more convenient, Axis Bank is doing the opposite.

I even raised this issue multiple times with the customer care (ref id xxx, xxx, xxx) but the bank hasn't cared to respond to it. No wonder the customer care of this bank is rotten to the core.

Because of technical issues at the bank's end, 3 CIBIL inquiries were made on 25 and 26 November, even though I applied only once, thanks to technical issues on your website. Request you to kindly remove them. Ever thought of fixing these issues some day. Even to register a complaint, I need to reach out to the customer care to register a complaint that I am not able to register a complaint on the website. How cool it is, isn't it? Only happens at Axis Bank.

Till the time Axis Bank doesn't focus on its customer satisfaction, it will always be playing a second fiddle in the market, no matter how good cards Axis Bank comes up with.

same thing happened to me when i applied for hdfc bank card, the web page stuck after submitting aadhar card and did 3 hard enquiries on its own.

Later they said i did multiple application, kyc got glitches and hence card was rejected. After talking to customer care ( have hdfc savings account but never alloted RM!) and they said that i need to send print of aadhar card, pan card and declaration form via post to Chennai HQ or ask the nearest branch to do it if i want the card! I was frustrated but decided to do it as another rejection in such short span would have blown my cibil to bits. So went to my nearest branch (where they persisted me to apply for new and forget about the old application), and they were totally clueless about the whole process.

I called the customer service again, told him the entire story and asked him to talk to the branch manager. Finally after two weeks received my freedom card.

You could have directly mailed grievance or priority redressal for this. Anyway, most branch employees at HDFC are more interested in sales than resolving customer issues.

Did that. just got automated generic response and a service ticket, the bot still mails and reassures me that my problem will be resolved soon.
