Need Group's Expert Advice. Issue with Magnus.

Lately have encountered following issue with Magnus and I need your advice as should I aggressively follow-up below issue with Magnus or you think that this will be a waste of effort and time. Below is the chronology of events:

1. Purchased forex currency notes on 300 USD through MMT App and ~25600/- paid via Axis Magnus Card.
2. Enquired the MCC code the next moment and was told the MCC code applied is 6051. Which I searched and safely concluded as eligible for reward points.
3. After a week I got all RPs for transaction done after above but didn't receive the RP for forex currency notes transaction.
4. I dropped a mail to premium support and got answer next that day that 6051 MCC is not eligible for Edge rewards.
5. Spoke to Customer Care and they narrated the same thing, when I asked that where it is written in T&C the guy navigated me to relevant pages on website which stated the list of cards not eligible for MCC code and has a long list of cards BUT Magnus was not there in list.
6. Argument didn't landed anywhere. Roughly 1500 RPs are at stake.

I need advise from you that should I escalate this and take this higher or should I let it go as this will be a futile exercise? If anyone has any practical scenario then please share that as well. Below are the links referred by CC person:

In my opinion the 1500 Edge Rewards or 50 Edge Rewards not a concern but having a HNI card we should not get a feel of cheat by bank
Don’t give up escalate to nodal officer with email chain and say that boldly the list of cards exempt given by Axis bank don’t include premium cards like magnus
I too had a scenario like this I spent 50k on rental pg which as per Axis bank terms till 5th March we r eligible for Edge Rewards but they didn’t have awarded rewards for my 01st dated transactions i escalated step by step and got my points after almost 45 days
Banks will learn once we teach them👍
Maybe some of our community ppl also was in same situation like me but some don’t have time to fight with bank and some don’t want to do it due to unnecessary fear of card block and all but our efforts will reward all of them too so I am happy for taking lead on such situations 🤝👍
 
Called CC, they told the MCC is 6051(Financial Transaction). At first they told it is not counted for ER. When I told to show where it is written for Magnus, they checked and told that it will be counted for ER and will be credited within 12 days.

That's good to know. Strangely all cards other than Magnus are covered by this nonsense rule! Even Reserve!

Keep a close tab, I got the same answer initially. Later they denied that MCC 6051 is not eligible for ER. I have mailed to PNO, let's see what is the outcome.
 
Given that almost all the other cards including Reserve aren't allowed 6501, I'm sure it's an error on their part. Now question is are they going to own up to their mistake or be giant deeecks about it. I suspect it will be the later.

I have some similar spends coming up soon. I'm thinking I'll just put it on my Prestige card instead. 0.8% isn't worth this hassle.

Haha! Took some time to register what the exact word meant after giant.
 
I'm also facing the same issue. There are asking me to share where in T&C it is mentioned. I remember checking it once somewhere and seeing Magnus was not included. But can't find now. Would someone be able to share where it can be found. Thanks for the help

Did you manage to resolve this in the end
 
Great will buy forex next month and report back what happens. Bookmyforex has better rates than thomas cook although the latter had points credited without any hassles as reported on another thread

I will seriously not advise you to that. There are quite a few in this forum and they are struggling to get points for bookmyforex transaction inspite of escalation
