Need some guidance with HDFC Bank Classic Banking

I have a 5 years old Digi Save Youth savings account in HDFC Bank (5K MAB required).

I'm maintaining 1 Lac+ in the account for almost 10 months now but haven't received any pre-approved Classic Banking upgrade offer. I recently transferred my account to my nearest branch. I visited the branch and submitted the classic banking sign-up form to the banker and waited for two weeks but nothing happened. I called him and he was saying those usual words like Don't worry sir, will do it sir etc. He again asked my number and after some time said that their server is not responding.

Also the same banker who asked me to submit the form is now saying that classic banking can't be provided via form method now. I mean then why did he asked me to do so man!

In short, I can totally understand the fact that he's not providing that intentionally.

I have raised my concern on Twitter but haven't received any satisfactory response.

What to do now?
Is there any other way to get that?

Haven't ever seen such pathetic service of a private bank. People usually complain about Kotak Bank but they're far better than this atleast for me.
 
how to know whether the account is Classic or SavingsMax?
Classic is a banking program. It will be mentioned under Hdfc Bank logo as Classic.
While Savings Max is a Account type; you can know from your monthly statement which category account you hold (example- regular, digisaveyouth, savingsmax)
Curious to know, what exactly are you missing by not upgrading to classic programs or even imperia for that matter?
If you and your family hold 2-3 accounts with Hdfc and are easily fulfilling the Classic criteria, then I would strongly suggest to go for it. It will waive off your 'bits of charges' like SMS charges, Debit Card charges, if you have an existing locker you can get 25% discount on it etc.
IMPs is still chargeable in Classic, that's a bit of problem.
You will also be waived of Non Maintenance charges until you are a part of Program. (Btw in my experience, do keep a watch on Sms charges, sometimes they do charge despite you having a Classic Account; ....just like Axis is notorious for Consolidated Charges)

Account Type on PDF version of Monthly statement shows as "SAVINGS - RESIDENTS"
Thts most probably is Normal/ Regular savings account which has monthly balance of 10k (in metro cities)
Doesn't two savingsmax accounts with 25k+25k, provide all these benefits (except locker, that itself behave like investment and depends branch rather programme).
You missed the part where I said- you and your family holds 2-3 accounts with Hdfc and are easily fulfilling the Classic Criteria.
Plus, as per experience of few members on this forum, like @Chaitanya-a , Hdfc doesn't downgrade Classic tht easily. (but of course tht depends)
Savings Max has penalty if you fail to maintain tht balance. Classic doesn't.
You just said you are having Preferred. Idk if you are maintaining 2L for tht; but if you are easily fulfilling the Criteria; then why not upgrade😀 just like you are fulfilling Preferred Criteria, families might have individual accounts but might be paying for basic charges like DC and all as they are not enrolled in Classic. So in such cases, you should upgrade.
 
Oh yaaa Hdfc does that sometimes; idk the reason exactly. They won't officially communicate you regd this over email; as to why it is zero, but just be aware, they might change it to 10k in future (as per proper T&C of Regular Acc) and you will get penalty if you aren't maintaining that MAB. They won't intimate you over email regd this stuff.
SmartStatement shows Imperia. I don't understand what HDFC is doing.
 
Yes, one more thing, I am receiving combined email statment with red colour themed emails from January this year. My debit card fees are levied usually in September. Let's see what happens this year.
Maybe your branch has upgraded your account manually. You can ask your RM what is it showing on his system. He can confirm that whether you're on Imperia programme or not.
 
But i am also not getting the option to contact RM.

Btw if you are getting pdf attached in email, then it's most likely Imperia. Cause for accounts other than Classic,Pref,Imper, pdf is not attached in the email. Only smart stament is there.
Wht is the colour of your netbanking btw? Try calling 18002663310, if you can connect to customer care in 2 taps it's most likely Imperia

Nope I tried calling this number but the ivr said that my number is not registered for premium banking programme, and netbanking is just the normal one. Mobile App is showing Standard Banking.

And I have received smart combined statment plus a PDF file attached every month from January'23.
