Need some guidance with HDFC Bank Classic Banking

I have a 5 years old Digi Save Youth savings account in HDFC Bank (5K MAB required).

I'm maintaining 1 Lac+ in the account for almost 10 months now but haven't received any pre-approved Classic Banking upgrade offer. I recently transferred my account to my nearest branch. I visited the branch and submitted the classic banking sign-up form to the banker and waited for two weeks but nothing happened. I called him and he was saying those usual words like Don't worry sir, will do it sir etc. He again asked my number and after some time said that their server is not responding.

Also the same banker who asked me to submit the form is now saying that classic banking can't be provided via form method now. I mean then why did he asked me to do so man!

In short, I can totally understand the fact that he's not providing that intentionally.

I have raised my concern on Twitter but haven't received any satisfactory response.

What to do now?
Is there any other way to get that?

Haven't ever seen such pathetic service of a private bank. People usually complain about Kotak Bank but they're far better than this atleast for me.
 
10L between Nov 22-Jan23. 55L between Feb23-Mid Apr23(+added 5L long term deposit). And currently have 10L in savings as on date since Mid Apr 23.
But 55 lakh rkhne k bad b HDFC offering you indigo 6e. Fer to lanat h not on you but on HDFC. Bhai Itne pe to 6 extra infinia dene chaiye vo b LTF. You should be their highly important customer. Your story itself shows HDFC do not value their customers chahe Kitna bi paisa maintain krlo. They don’t give priority to their priority customers, even if customer leaves them they have no fear. Wo alag hi chaud me rhte.

To be fair, my relationship with HDFC goes back only 6 months. I'm banking with HDFC solely for holding my investing/trading funds. So let's see if they actually value my association after a while. I doubt I'll be treated differently because I don't intend on leaving a lot of my money in deposits or investing in their recommended investments. XD

I think you need to maintain at least for 3months
 
To be fair, my relationship with HDFC goes back only 6 months.
If you had even 6 months of such relationship with Axis Bank; pretty sure you could have at least got Axis Magnus FYF CC.
There are many on this forum with Hdfc long term relationship and Imperia banking; still not happy with the overall services received.

Now I don't remember who it was, but someone had an ITR >45 Lakhs, but his Branch still denied him Infinia (paid version) leave FYF, they weren't even ready to give him paid version. Idk if he managed to get it later.....but I remember reading this on the forum.

Btw how is your experience with Trading/ Investing with them?

I use Zerodha, HDFC charges very exorbitant fees and a discount broker fulfils my requirement. I just needed a reliable banking partner with little to no downtime. Many people recommended HDFC bank, so went with it. My requirements from HDFC are very basic, so I'm happy.
 
With HDFC u hv to keep patience. My association with them for 8 years. My MAB was around 1lk. They offered my DCB FYF and preferred banking recently.
HDFC has no choice but to keep up with the competition though. SBI and Axis are killing it in the cards space now. Either improve their card offerings or their service. Most importantly, it should know better than to gain customers with its cheap tactics(fake LTF lures).
 
Bhai I’m their imperia customer even to me they have given money back+ and not giving better upgrades. HDFC is such a shame man
So have you taken moneyback +? I am in talks with my branch scaring rm if I don't get millennia I will shift all my balance and never consider any investment options given by HDFC. Will update the status what happens.
 
Just try dropping an email to classicbanking@hdfcbank.com If possible, attach a call recording and tell them you are unable to connect to Customer Care.
Also, mention escalation@hdfcbank.com in CC of email; because their normal email service is pathetic ( worse than some PSB banks)

And btw just to let you know there's no diff in normal/ premium phonebanking customer Care (only for Imperia it is diff) Suppose in Normal Phone banking number you connect to Mr. Shubham (for eg); if you call through premium customer care number, that will also connect to Mr Shubham only😂

Only the IVR will say 'Welcome to Hdfc Bank Premium Customer Services' that's it!😂
Once i get millennia ltf from them anyway i am planning to shift my balance to somewhere else. No point parking 1-2 lakhs and being classic and imperia customers. No real benefit at all. I have savings max account which is more than enough for basic features which a normal customer wants.
 
They've stopped sourcing LTF cards now. You can get Millenia but not LTF.
Are you sure? Yesterday only a person from branch came to collect form which needed my sign for millennia application offline. In that a page was there special pricing of cards. There all cards which could be provided ltf were mentioned including millennia. Will call and confirm from branch today.
 
Maintaining doesn't matter much, the number and value of transactions does. I had mab of 7000, but had lot of transactions and I got offer within 5 months. Use DC as much as possible.
That doesn't work as well with HDFC. I used to have 7-8 pages of statement monthly. Preferred account. 3-4L average balance for about 2 years. Nothing worked out. HDFC is actually that akdu bank which doesn't care about its customer. They don't even want to retain.

Eventually shifted to IDFC for better interest rate and monthly payout.
 
Credit Cards ke regarding my experience with HDFC wasn't bad.

I had opened my account in 2018 and got my first IOCL card in 2019 (1 year after exactly), after that I had opened a current account in 2019 and got another business money-back card with separated limit. But I don't know what happened with my mind, I decided to close my IOCL LTF card in 2022 as I didn't get any limit enhancement even after 3 years. It was having only 25K limit and the new card was issued with 50K limit. 🙂 That is obviously one of my worst decision.

But my dad opened a savings account in 2019 and got IOCL LTF card after 1 year. Later he had received an upgrade to Millennia (FYF). He doesn't use that account and maintains only 5K that's required. and guess what! HDFC the legend has increased the limit from 89K to 2.2L. 🫣

I have current & savings accounts both, I have Activ current account with 10K MAB requirement. Now Do I need to maintain any balance in the current account as I'm already maintaining 1L in my savings account for Classic Banking. or will there be any NMC for that?

Yes, you will have to maintain balance in Current Account as per your product requirement. Which in your case is ₹10k.
