I just came across this post on twitter (X). The handle posted a photo of the redesigned Amex Platinum Travel card.
If you like the design, then by all means go ahead and request for a replacement.

Also do keep me posted if other Amex India Cards received a design update.

Cheee, I hate it. White font on silver was more classy than black font on silver. And now it's just "Travel". Earlier it was "Platinum". Even the embossing seems to be gone.

I am actually happy that the word "Platinum" is gone. People in India usually confuse Platinum Travel credit card with "Platinum Charge Card". Glad that amex finally decided to drop the word from their card.

Yes, but "Platinum" was better for showing off than "Travel".

While it looks lovely, I'm also thinking how does it matter ,most of my spends on this card are online ,very few places accept physical card here in vizag

Amex is phasing out the old design globally. They already did this in europe.

You could simply click on the link. It will take you to his twitter handle. It is an Indian variant. Multiple folks on twitter have started to order replacements.
