I just came across this post on twitter (X). The handle posted a photo of the redesigned Amex Platinum Travel card.
If you like the design, then by all means go ahead and request for a replacement.

Also do keep me posted if other Amex India Cards received a design update.

The best part.. New design comes with a very subtle matt finish (except gold charge). From May 2024 all amex pvc cards will be issued with a new design and card number printed on the back.

So we can replace all of them after May 2024, but we will miss the embossing now.

To be honest, I never liked Embossing. I carry a leather card holder from Tumi and the embossing somewhat imprints overtime.

I recently got to know that Gold Charge card now has card number print as the back. Only the Name is printed on front - just like my corp card and Amex plat.

Yeah.. Embossing also occupies extra space and reduces the card capacity of the wallet.

June 30th cause check tnc it 90 days after the promotional is over so this ended in March 31st not jan 31st 2024 so add 90 days

Yeah. I've been using a Magsafe Popsocket wallet for years, and back in the day my primary EDC was the og Vistara Infinite. Cool card, but the embossing really stopped me from keeping 3 cards as intended.

I like the raised embossed details on the cards but they are past their usefulness since imprinters are no more used today.
