NO REWARD POINTS ON HDFC BILLPAY DIRECTLY- RENTALBBPSNO

Could u pls add some proof or screenshot regarding that. Because we r unable to locate anything on this.

As far as my memory goes, it was 4:1 (or 5:1) used to be the case earlier. That was displayed in the net-banking redemption page.
That is not longer mentioned now. May be they have upgraded the dc or something else that we don't know yet.

5:1 is possibly the generic conversion ratio applied for their lower end cc.

Pls. revert.
Based on its position in hierarchy of HDFC debit cards, I assume that the value back would be Rs. 400 / month

If you compare it with easy shop platinum dc,
I looked at it otherwise.

Ohh. that means it was just a general statement. Ok.

Earlier HDFC used to follow conversion ratio kind of reward structure in their DC cashback as well. But now, I can't find anything as such.

Hence hopeful. Based on my understanding it could be either 1:1 or 2:1 or 4:1.

Tagging a few others who have good knowledge on these @desiviru @6ix9ine

Hence hopeful. Based on my understanding it could be either 1:1 (hopeful) or 2:1 (i.e., 1 reward every 200 txn.) or 4:1 (earlier conversion ratio).

Sorry, I have no idea about this DC. Desiviru uses Millennia, and I use Platinum.

BPCL cashback is good one, but I have not seen HDFC terminal on any BPCL outlet that I visited. It is usually Pine labs or Paytm

arrey yaar fir naraz ho jatein ho aap

You got it wrong. I used the word above P.S for last time to you. Iske baad you can mind my language anytime you want. I won't say that word again in a reply. Yeh likha hai. 🤣

The only thing I learned in my teenage is never respect a teenagers. Don't disrespect but never respect.

I have one concern about this debit card, when the HDFC Billpay got popularized for 1% using the EasyShop Platinum HDFC quickly changed the mcc of HDFC Billpay for CC Bill payment.
Now if this also gets popularized in the same way then HDFC can just remove DC option on PayZapp to pay CC Bills or just exclude it for CC Bill Payment like they have already excluded Wallet Loading.

The best part about any other DC giving RPs on CC Bill Payments is that they have just made 4900 MCC eligible for the Cashback and they have no intention to remove that as people pay other kinds of bills using that mcc as well. And our beloved SBI Unipay has made CC Bill payment possible through 4900 Utility MCC. Here if in any case someone is bearing a loss then there are two parties here not a single entity like in this case HDFC Bank is the owner of Payzapp as well as the Debit Card.

How MDR System works is lets say MDR is 2% (it maybe less for utility mcc but I have considered the market standard). Now if someone pays 10k worth of bill payment through SBI Unipay then Unipay will receive 9800 instead of 10000 and the 200 will be distributed between bank and the card network (Visa, MC) now if HDFC gets 100 for this txn then for Platinum DC they are passing on this 100 and for millennia they are giving 1.5% extra which is 150 more from their pocket.
So for Millennia HDFC's loss is 1.5% & Unipay's loss is 0-2% as they may recover some from the BBPS network (don't know exactly how their commission works but their might be some commission system in place)

Now for Rewards DC HDFC's loss is MDR + CB they are providing - BBPS Commission they may earn. Which I think would be a huge loss if they continue this for long time.

With this logic this DC doesn't look sustainable in my opinion. What are your thoughts?
If I get some clarity on the longevity of this, I will surely apply for this.

This card is lifetime free with Senior Citizens account. For female Sr. Citizens they instead provide Woman Advantage card.

If your father is Sr. Citizen then go to him and tell, "Dad you have done enough for me. Please help me again get this card by opening a Sr Citizen account with HDFC"

Dad will say, "Chal bikhari. Aa ghum ke aaye" 🤣

But remember there always exist a female employee, whose work is to just sell you anything and everything. Practice to say no to her at any cost. Just open a senior citizen account or if you parents alreasy have one, submit a request to convert it to Sr Ctzns acc. which can be done online at HDFC Insta Service link. Choose change Account Variant.
It's free for hni accounts too

Yes, it will be devalued. All dc, cc will be devalued. We can only enjoy the party while it lasts.
