One more thing , if I am not wrong transaction is not made for wallet top-up .
OTP sms mentioned as mobiwik5000.
What does 5000 means here .
It should have been mentioned as mobiwik wallet top up.
I don't use mobiwik so please correct me if I am wrong .

Transaction has been made somehow that scamsters won't get caught.
Yes u are correct and not 5000 it's mobikwik50000

sorry for your trouble but seriously google meet?? and first of all, ICICI should file a case against you for degrading their bank -- icicixxxx@gmail.com?? infact RBI too will file a complaint as they have ICICI as one of the three domestic systemically important banks (D-SIBs) for almost 10yrs and you are insulting ICICI as if they don't have money to buy even a domain 😀

better change your passwords for netbanking/email, try to have 2-factor authentication wherever possible and if at all you need any banking service better visit the branch if possible

But seriously after this loss you are in a bad mood and we don't need to make it worse. Don't stress much.do what is needed, Friends have shared. And hope for the best. Good luck for the recovery.

There's no hard and fast rule in banking industry. Banks can go extreme ends to win potential customers, that's what I know from experience.
banks try to help to keep your business & protect their name. But some are legal liabilities , some aren't. This isn't.

What do you mean by there's no hard & fast rule? Banking is one of the most highly regulated sector. Even rbi can't make them pay back. law clearly says user shouldn't be negligent or accessory to fraud for bank to be liable. Even though it says that many cases go to court where user have to sue bank and wait years for judgement.

Faster you report to cyber department, higher chance you have to get you money back. They call it golden hour. There is a big drop in getting money back after 2 hours.

State level Cyber department has dedicated team and high level of authority. They are best people to deal with it.

They only have access to 1st 4 and last 4 digits of the card no. Nothing else.

What I really meant was some antivirus sellers actually profit out of the fear of viruses. There have been speculation that some such sellers actually write viruses themselves to create the atmosphere of fear in the first place! 🙂

I was wondering (half-jokingly of course) whether or not here also fraudsters themselves are taking advantage of the fear so created by selling insurance products as well! 🙂
