Are you paying your credit card bill via 3rd party app or directly from your bank portal? then you are probably losing 1% cashback.
If you pay your credit card bill via HDFC Bank bill payment portal using your HDFC Bank debit card then you can earn 1% cashback, maximum Cashback capping depends on your debit card type.
Maximum Cashback Capping-
If you have HDFC Easyshop Platinum debit card then you can earn 1% upto Rs. 750 per month, just pay Rs. 75,000 bill & get Rs. 750 cashback.
If you have HDFC Millennia debit card then you can earn 1% upto Rs. 400 per month, just pay Rs. 40,000 bill & get Rs. 400 cashback.

Not only credit card bill, you can pay any utility bill you want (must be available on Hdfc bank bill payment portal) & get 1% cashback.

To Pay Bill Follow These Steps-
1. Login to your HDFC Bank Netbaning
2. Click on "BillPay & Recharge" tab -> Click on Continue



3. Now click on Add Biller
4. Select Credit Card
5. Now select your card provider name



6. Enter your credit card detail
7. Enter amount you want to pay
8. Select your debit card from drop down menu
9. Click on pay



10. Enter OTP & Done!

You'll receive 1% Cashback for the transaction, you can check & redeem your debit card Cashback from "Card Tab -> Debit Card -> Enquiry -> Cashback Enquiry & Redemption"

Trying to pay Icici cc bill using platinum debit card from HDFC BILL PAY. However after filling otp, the transaction gets failed. I have checked all the limits. Online transaction are enabled with ample daily limits. I tried contacting bank but they are asking me to speak to merchant which in this case is Billdesk. However they don't have any contact details where I can speak or write to them.

Anyone else facing this ?

Was this resolved for you? I am also facing the same issue when trying to pay Axis cc bill.
have checked that card is enabled online and able to use it elsewhere.

Nope, however i have escalated the issue and have seen increased activity on bank's end.

If you have Tata Neu Infinity Rupay card, you will get 1.5%, that will be 1500 neu coins for 1Lakh payment.

Is this still valid?

Great! After reading this, I paid my Amazon Pay ICICI card bill last week through HDFC Millennia DC and I couldn't see any cashback points credit to my account (same as above). Any rough timelines on CB credit? Thanks in advance.

Cashback gets credited after 90 days for Millenia DC txn. To get the cashback in 24-48 hrs, we have to use Platinum DC.

Means automatic bill payments will not be processed if Smartpay Status Off

Only BBPS billers can have Smartpay activated. So KOTAK & BOB you can activate Smartpay, but better to pay manually.

If your account is Savings Max or Classic/Preferred/Imperia, then there won't be any charges. Otherwise ₹750 per annum fee applicable.

You can upgrade via NetBanking> Cards>Debit cards>Transact>Debit card upgrade

Thank you. This is very informative. I have registered my BOB energie credit card for Smart pay which I use only for fuel transaction which ranges b/w 3K to 6K per month. I will keep the forum posted next month if I get 5% cashback for smartpay bill payment.
