If you don't wanna spend some ₹1k per annum on CIBIL membership (Which has it's own advantages ) ,then here are a few Options to keep you updated on your Credit Profile for FREE :

  1. OneScore - CIBIL + Experian (Once a Month)
  2. PaisaBazaar - CIBIL + Experian + CRIF + Equifax (Once a Month)
  3. BankBazaar - Don't even think about it (Trust me , just don't)
  4. Paytm - CIBIL for some , Equifax for some, Experian for Some (Once a Quarter)

Is there an option to check credit score over a period of time ? Say for last year what was the score . We would know month by month basis Any thoughts on that ?

RBL is once a quarter i guess
Coz for me the next refresh is in october
 
I had accessed my cibil report from their website many years back.

I want to check it now, but i forgot my password to login to the cibil portal. clicking on 'forgot password' triggers a message that password reset link has been sent to my contact details provided. but i never received the link, i even checked the spam folder. this has been happening every time for a few months.

Is there any other (free) way to know about CIBIL?
