Pls guide to get a unsecured CC with no credit history.

Hello TF community.
My partner wants to open kotak 811 ZB account and would maintain >20k anytime.
- she's a student ,so no source of income.
-no credit history present rn
-no previous loan or activity on PAN.
-can't link anything to family financials.

-Is there any way to get unsecured credit card at this position?
-any bank tricks to follow?
-or any other banks to try?

Ps- Purpose is to build some Credit history (w/o secured CC) and open salary account next yr to get some good cards.

Kotak 811 offers pre-approved cc after 4-5 months. She can get the unsecured cc offer from kotak easily.

Would join Govt sector next year too..
(I m in the same situation like her too🥺)
and we both want CCs..

Yep... i would suggest going with hdfc...

They gave the cc after 5 months with good limit...(1L)..

Which type of HDFC account would help?

Go with 10k variant and try maintaining around 1L to 2L
Do heavy transactions even money transfer works, make sure there is a credit of 1L via NEFT every month on same date. You can use the maintained balance for this credit transaction.

Keep 20k+ & do few trnxs over 50k.

3. If she has money to park, or can maintain 10k anytime. Open a HDFC savings account.
4. For newbies, I recommend some Axis co branded cards like FreeCharge, Kotak League or Amazon ICICI will be the best option to apply. These cards doesn't ask income proofs & are easy to apply.
5. If she can hold money & transact in HDFC account around 6-12 months, will get good amount of pre approved offer for credit card like millennia.
6. If she tend to apply FreeCharge/Amazon ICICI CC, Go to apply, fill some details then come back. Agent will call in 2-3 days, only then apply on call. She will guide you thoroughly. Application will be approved mostly.
7. For Kotak League, apply directly from website after account opening.
