PNB Elite Savings Account

Not well versed with pnb
@2025 may help
I have basic savings account (but maintaining 50 k+ balance, previous quarter).
As far as I know they refer extra cards as additional / duplicate cards. All works together.
I don't know exactly how to fill in the form. Branch may guide you on this.

Don't know why I always have worst experience at PSUs.

Went to PNB bank, only 1 employee there ,no customers. BM came after 20mins.
Asked him pnb elite premium, he doesn't know what that is.
I showed him in my mobile,he said he can open.
I said i need 1 primary and 2 add on dcs.
He took kyc in tab and told me he will complete application after knowing product code.

After 2 hours they called and told only 1 dc possible. I told its possible , they said Circle head told that only 1dc comes.

I sent them proofs.They called me Again and they can issue 2 more dcs and told they lost kyc in the tab and I need to visit branch again. I told i wont come,instead u come half distance and i will come distance since 8kms is long.He agreed.

I reached there,he came 30mins late, and his kyc in tab was not getting successful. And he gave twist that he's going to open normal 1k account, if i deposit 50k they will issue rsdc.

I got serious and told just open what i asked. He said option not coming in tab. I told to call other branch. He called and that guy told process. He again asked me to visit tomorrow.

Branch executives,BM,Circle Head are all clueless and knowledgeless fellows on their own products.

Suggest : Work part time in RBI Vigilance.

Leave the RSDC, Once they got to know , you are coming, they will offer that much hospitality you won't be disappointed.

Can't understand the sarcasm here.
Bank is not paying them to leave bank empty on bank hours.
Also not having knowledge on their own products is a big shame.
I just pointed out what I experienced.

I don't want to be any RBI vigilance or respect, i just want to get my work done without inconvenience.

That's the point ☝️.
A normal citizen of India do expect the same.
1-Bank- It's a service sector Job, so is the work.
1.1- In a public facing service sector you must have the interest/attitude in service/ solving the problem, not lingering on.
2- Getting adequate training and knowledge for the same(along with ongoing update)
3-If they don't know, or can't do something at a given point due to server/network or any other issues, they should follow up and try to be more proactive, on solving the problem.
4- Most important is for each and every silly issue, knocking the door 🚪 of higer authorities everytime is not a solution.
5- Now a days, PSU banking specifically, are not under paid, so they must have known the importance of the JOB.

I can understand your pain, be in CBI Joint account or PNB one.

It's a autonomous process, once Vigilance of higher authorities are about to come, everything works and works like a charm. Everything on place, Neat and Clean, Behaviour of staff suddenly change, more cooperative.

Why I said- Vigilance thing-

Disc: Found many people across PSU, who love their Job. Do work more efficiently than Pvt.
I Found - They like to work for solution, have good etiquette.

I agree with all expect 4th point.
I didn't knocked door of higher authorities everytime. Actually feel pity to them as I know what they face after complain and how hard they try to get that Job.
I will only complain When situation is very worst.

1. UNION udaan - one branch i visited 3 times, 1time they wasted my time by trying for sbpre instead of pro.next 2times they simply told we don't login,come after some days. Another branch asked docs which are not even necessary.
Still I didn't complaint and leaved it.

2. In CBI,i should have complained in the first day itself as he aaid in serious note that its not possible to open joint account. Its not how they welcome customers. Still i put down my ego and gone ahead with proofs.
They casually put down my application for a week. Still i waited patiently for an hour. And told 2nd dc not possible eventhough I claimed many people got it.
When i told him i will complain he didn't even bother to call me back. So he thought i won't do anything.
As I'm putting 25k, its my right to claim full benefits. I can't loose it because of his knowledge. So I complained at last and got it done.

3. Pnb elite - I was surprised for branch employees having no knowledge on their premium offerings.
That account opening guy was talking with his wife while opening my account in tab,cant he put down the phone for 5mins? And as expected, he lost my kyc in tab.
And deliberately tried to open 1k account instead of elite (what i asked).
Being BM,circle head,they don't know 3dc can be applied.
He told he will come half distance, said place & time,but came 30mins late and kyc was not successful.
I didn't complained here also. I know one email is enough for them to visit my house and open account. I'm still pity for them and waiting for them to sort out themselves.

Point was a generalized statement.

One thing, I can share about PSU banks in general is mostly staff are familiar with
commonly used service (90%).

If you are familiar, you can share, why it's so - "No customer in bank" ?
 
I wish someday some major private banks come up with 3 RSDC at 750/card (or below) annual charges that's applicable in a single 1000 MAB account with all card benefits.

So that some members could take those services and don't have to run behind some PSU Banks just to realize for the 1st time they are the worst, again for the 2nd time, they are the worst, yet again for the 3rd time, they are the worst.
