One more thing - After activating the Platinum debit card, a current account is also activated. Now I can see 2 accounts - one existing sb account and one 0 balance current account.
The current account number is same as RPDC number. When I checked with the bank, they told that it's fine. That gets created automatically and we can use it like a wallet (Though I didn't really understand how it works). Anyway I am not planning to use. it.

As Debit card supports NCMC, NCMC wallet is represented in Current Account Section in Apk.

Same here. I contacted them too. similar response. they are not closing it.

Let me know if branch guys can close this or not ....or will it go away after few weeks? I dont want additional accounts unnecessarily.

Looks like it is the NCMC wallet. Linked to the card. If we need to use the card at any metro station by swiping at the NCMC counter, we need to first add money into that current account and then use it. As long as we are not going to use it, it's OK to ignore it as such.

Branch guys saying, primary card can be opened while opening account. And add on cards should be applied after receiving primary card. Is this true?

For My wife's account, I took three card one after one not together based on what they suggested. They usually say that please order next card after arrival and activation of previous card. Also all cards are same name (ac holder).

But someone previously told you can order them together if u fulfill the eligibility.

BM never heard of this account. I showed him in my mobile,he read whole page and said we will open. Called employee and asked to take signatures and thumb impression. And told we will submit after knowing product code from higher officials.

Regarding add on cards, he told we will apply later without ur presence.
Lets see how it goes
