Query Regarding Taj Booking Taj Epicure Plus Membership & Taj Gift Vouchers

Is there a way to differentiate Amex issued Taj voucher with others if you just have the voucher and pin. If you don't know the source, can I find out which one is which?
Not sure, but difficult to identify just based on voucher no and pin. Voucher / pin construct is similar. May be try topping it up on Taj website and it can tell the difference
thanks. The amex ones can't be reloaded, while others can. I guess that should differentiate.
How will you identify this from just voucher and pin? It will only tell you expiry date (and not issuance date).
most of amex vouchers have both the dates at least ones you get on the birthday or with platinum travel milestone or as as retention benefit with charge card.
Well my query was how to differentiate if you just have the voucher and pin (and don't know the source).
Can’t we use Amex Taj GV while booking online . On booking page , we do have the option of redeeming GV , right ?

I think I saw some one saying it is not accepting only amex taj to pay. Not sure never tried. But u do can redeem them at hotel to settle final bills when u check in u can inform the front desk they will redeem it as advance this is what they do when I stay in Taj properties
I used my Epicure Complimentary Night to book Taj Mahal Towers on 31st December.
But due to some reasons , I had to cancel .
IHCL Customer care Mumbai Reservations Desk said that voucher will be reinstated and amount will be refunded.
But I can’t see the voucher being active in my account , it still says used ! What to do further ?

Talk to amex Epicure team or ihcl team
In TnC of Epicure , it’s mentioned that complimentary night isn’t available on blackout dates of 23 Dec - 15 Jan !
But somehow , I was able to book Taj Mahal Towers on New Year Eve !
Hotel team says booking is confirmed while Epicure team says this is impossible, they will cancel your booking later on !
Whom to believe ?

Once you receive booking confirmation they can't cancel it without your consent unless they calm you and tell it was system issue. Even I had booked 2 years back complimentary stay on blackout days it got confirmed they did not cancel it. I also called them to reconfirm if it booked and asked them to send a vehicle to.pick.me up.from airport to their hotel in sawai man mahal. If u r in doubt call the hotel and confirm and record the call.
Made another booking for Taj Exotica Goa on 5 Jan (blackout date) . Hotel confirmed the reservation.
So yeah there is nothing hard and fast as blackout dates . It all depends on property!
