RBIO: Got Compensation of ₹10,000 from Canara Bank

@sjmajumder is there any provision from RBI where bank has to inform the customer for non maintainance of MAB? I mean let's take an example is I'm not maintaining ₹10k in October'24 so bank has to notify in October'24 that the balance is not maintained or they can notify and charge in Jan/Feb'25 also?

If they can notify anytime then ig I don't have a case here right?...

They need to intimate customer and give a chance to maintain the mab. So in the same month before month end, they should notify.
 
I have a canara bank savings account. My Debit card expired in the month of March 2024. Mostly banks send a new debit card to the registered address once it is nearing expiry. I didn't receive any such debit card from canara bank till now. Can i raise a complaint with RBIO? If yes, should I ask canara bank PNO first for a reason and then complaint to RBIO?
Can soomeone kindly give your input on this?

(i) In the event of a default in maintenance of minimum balance/average minimum balance as agreed to between the bank and customer, the bank should notify the customer clearly by SMS/ email/ letter etc. that in the event of the minimum balance not being restored in the account within a month from the date of notice, penal charges will be applicable.
 
Kindly explain the issue you faced? So that anyone else here can also understand and raise a complaint if they're facing the same
I had applied for an SBI credit card, but due to some address issues, the card was never delivered to me. However, SBI still activated the card, and it remained active on my CIBIL report for five years. So, I raised a ticket with the RBI regarding the issue.
