RBL ShopRite Card Application – Delay, Double CIBIL Pull & Compensation Query

Need some guidance for RBL CC issuance delay. Sharing my recent RBL Bank ShopRite credit card experience for community insights:
  • 23 June 2025: Applied for RBL ShopRite card online and completed Video KYC.
  • 23 June 2025: First hard CIBIL enquiry made.
  • 6 July 2025: Escalated to RBL Principal Nodal Officer after no response for over 2 weeks.
  • July–Aug 2025: Only received generic replies, no firm decision from RBL.
  • 26 Aug 2025: RBL triggered a second hard CIBIL pull (without fresh consent), also asked for personal details via office email.
  • 27 Aug 2025: Filed RBI Ombudsman complaint for delay in credit card issuance.
  • 04 Sep 2025: Got email from Cashkaro (where I applied) stating RBL confirmed my application status as “Expired.”
  • 05 Sep 2025: Card was unexpectedly approved & delivered—but only after my RBI Ombudsman escalation.
  • Received mail from RBL PNO citing “name mismatch” (application vs PAN) as the reason for delay, but there was no proactive communication for over 2 months.
  • Second CIBIL enquiry now suppressed, but only after formal escalation.
  • Case reviewed by RBL’s Internal Ombudsman—no compensation offered yet for delay, stress, or credit reputation loss.
Has anyone here faced similar delays or received compensation from RBL for service deficiency (Double Inquiry and CC issuance delay till 70 days) ? Should I push for compensation or open another escalation?

Would appreciate any feedback, past case references, or advice from fellow CC enthusiasts!
 
I have also faced same issue I have applied RBL irctc card through agent on 26 july and completed vkyc on same day. But till today I have not received any response from rbl . I have sent some emails regarding this but no response.
Can you help me to resolve this issue.

Before some days I recieved call from paisabazar for offering due card i was not interested but by forcely applied no Cibil hit no vdkyc. There is writen that since your are already RBL existing customer no need vdkyc
But after two days card application rejected the asked many times but they told internal policy should I compliant to RBIO

If you have already taken follow up over email to RBL them its high time to rasie complaint to RBI Ombudsman (https://rbi.org.in/Scripts/Complaints.aspx)
