Re-KYC sms from SBM, holding their OneCard

I received a SMS recently about Re-KYC from SBM Bank. I don't have any savings account there, just holding OneCard issued by them. Is it really necessary to do it? or even legit?
Anyone with similar experience?

Yes, it is mandated by RBI for banks to do this, otherwise they can mark your account as dormant.
Wait, your OneCard is with SBM? I didn't knew they still issued those..
I just have Niyo with SBM (CC + Account), so anyway I plan to do that. But that email link expired (only valid for 3 days). Waiting for new email.

What happens if we don't rekyc? Dormancy? What after that?

Your account will be deactivated, excess money will be transferred to RBI. That happened in my case with NSDL Payments Bank dormancy.

Plz do it before 15th dec..

Your account will be deactivated, excess money will be transferred to RBI. That happened in my case with NSDL Payments Bank dormancy.

And that money is no longer mine?
Also curious if the Secured CC will stop working or not.

It is technically still yours, but with RBI, you need to ask them to get it back. idk the process about that. I didn't try. Too lazy, hehe

No.. for something.. they will email, then call..

After that account freeze 🥶.

Dormancy takes time..

I'm thinking about not doing kyc and getting the money from RBI.

And if the one card still works.
