Received Compensation from CIBIL for delay in resolution

During January, I asked fellow TF members whether banks were supposed to add credit card accounts that were never activated to your CIBIL report. Upon receiving their inputs, I raised a report on CIBIL dispute platform against IDFC and Axis Bank. In a few days, I got a standard response from the bank asking me to reach out to my nearby branch with relevant KYC documents for this request (can't bother doing this). I forgot about this topic and thought I would pursue this with their escalation emails later on.
Today, to my surprise, CIBIL sent me an email mentioning a delay of 15 days from their end for complaint resolution, qualifying me for a compensation of Rs 1500 from CIBIL itself. So far I have only received this email, the amount has not been credited yet.
This is a first, I never thought they would offer compensation without me asking or even knowing as such. :hehe:

Can someone let me know what to do?

I purchased cibil subscription for 3 years back in October 2024 but they have still not activated that.

I have numerous mails and sr no.s but everytime they close the request by mentioning that they have resolved the request and to check my account again.

But nothing changes, still cibil subscription is not activated.
You can register a complaint against CIBIL or any other CICs in RBI Banking Ombudsman.
Just select Credit Information Bureau (India) Limited for CIBIL in entity list. Don't forget to attach payment proofs and email replies and ask for compensation.

I registered a dispute against ICICI jan30 . It's been 30+44days since I raised the dispute. I could see that on the exact 30th day bank shared the resolution with Cibil. But cibil not yet closed the dispute. So should I get the compensation of 44*100Rs for sure?? Should I need to raise the concern for the same or will they process the compensation automatically?

But now, Credit Bureaus are playing new type of games. They are closing disputes on 28th or 29th day giving any Sense less reason to avoid compensation. Then, we have to fight with banks through RBI Ombudsman.

What about in my case?? Bank shared the dispute on 30th day. But cibil not yet closed. So what to do

I already raised a dispute related to icici enquiry suppression in CIBIL portal on 30th Jan. I could see that the bank shared the details back with cibil on 1st March( 30 days completion). But It was closed by cibil on 15-april . So it delayed by 45days

should I need to raise a concern mail seperately for compensation to cibil to get the compensation of 100/day ? Or should I proceed with RBI directly with the dispute details raised on 30th Jan?

First raise a dispute for compensation directly with CIBIL.

If you raised dispute in CIBIL portal you should receive the compensation for delay automatically. Wait for few days, then write to CIBIL. I don't think you will need to go to RBIO for this.

But i only received a mail from cibil regarding the closure of dispute only. No any other mail received regarding the compensation mentioned .

No. Raised only with Cibil
Did you provide your bank account details while raising the complaint?

@SSV since you have CIBIL subscription can you create a walkthrough thread on raising dispute through CIBIL website? Since I haven't seen the interfaces I have few confusions. As per rule, bank details has to be provided while raising the dispute. If not provided then the day on which bank details is provided is considered as the complaint registration date for compensation purpose. I want to know if providing bank details is mandatory or not while raising dispute through CIBIL portal.

Yes I provided the bank details at the time of raising dispute. But I think cibil ignored it , otherwise I will receive the automated email for compensation. Right?
