Regalia or Diners Privilege?

I am getting an option to apply for Regalia and Diners Privilege, both LTF on C2C basis. Which one should I go for? I need a card from HDFC for online offers, and I will use these to access international lounges. Keeping this in mind, which one would be better? Regalia comes with PP, and DCP, I believe, doesn't.

Diners is accepted for most online transactions - maybe will have issues with some airlines or hotel direct booking sites. Lounge internationally is better with Diners ..

That's downgrade as per HDFC logic.

Hope you are applying via bank personnel and not via 3rd party call centers who ask documents via WhatsApp, as you will most likely get Millennia if you go via 3rd party

Telling you this as my friend too applied via 3rd party with ICICI Platinum (5L limit) for DCP and got Millennia and that to paid 😀

HDFC verification call is the worst, they don't deny there.. they say DCP but then while sending, they say their internal team gave other card than requested xD

I am. I went to my branch and applied via their CC team. They did say that there is a good chance I will get a rejection since I work from home. Let's see what happens.

May be but i m sick of dcp not being accepted everywhere and entering pin again n again for low value transactions where other cards are just tap and pay. Also i would like to have real cashback instead of rewards points which is redeemable only on smartbuy where rates are always inflated bringing down the value of rewards. When my limit increases then would upgrade directly to Infinia coz its the only card worth upgrading to .

you wont get Infinia if you **downgrade right now

you need to step up the ladder by asking DCB first and then Infinia... or else move to Regalia and then wait for DCB/Infinia

Finally got a call this morning to verify my application, and then a few hours later an SMS telling me that my application was approved in principle. What do they mean by that?
