My documents arrived at the Chennai office on April 25, and the card was upgraded yesterday. I started to put pressure on my RM starting last week. She was in touch with the Chennai team, and she only called me yesterday morning, notifying me about the upgrade.

Yes, 50%. It took 24 hours.

Visa Infinite DC does not have unlimited lounge access and MC World has 2 per quarter, not per year.

Do you actually use lounge access when flying domestic? I find them a pain to use, given the queues and the crowds inside lounges. It's more cattle class inside the lounge than outside. I prefer staying in the boarding area or eating at a restaurant if the restaurant is decent, like Carnatic Cafe at T3 IGIA DEL. In smaller airports everything is bad, from food to lounges. The only lounge I use is when I fly Vistara from BOM because as an Axis Vistara Infinite holder I get Vistara Gold status and that gives access to the Adani Business Class lounge at CSMIA BOM T2.

Well it depends on what lounges are available. For example Mumbai T2 Domestic has Amex centurion which I like. Same with Adani business at t2 domestic.
Mumbai T2 International is crap loyalty lounge. Bangalore T1/t2 080 is good. Also lounge crowd is fast decreasing. Last month Bangalore 080 in T2 domestic was almost empty at night.

Yes, add-on cards come in the same packaging. Takes around 2-5 days depending on where you live.

Yes, she said is checking and will update. But nothing. I can't ask her daily.

I am sure once it's approved she will call like hell for the investment.

Haha, this is 100% true. My RM was on adrenaline the entire day and kept on calling me every hour with some rubbish investment plans. Even my RM's manager congratulated me and asked me about my money management and where I invest.

I had to switch off my phone until last night.
