Regarding HDFC Infinia CC

Hi All, I am getting Infinia (most probably as LTF). I know there is so much hype for it but I am unable to understand its actual potential. So not sure if it is worth or not.

Currently holding Axis FK, SBI cashback, Axis myzone, Axis neo, Hdfc Regalia.

I am pretty much satisfied what these cards offer. How Infinia would be game changer rather than just be forcing me to boost my spend?

P.S - getting this CC out of some favour so not sure if it is worth or not.
 
If you have HDFC managed salary account, and owns LTF regalia, customer service can offer LTF Infinia. It happened to me.
Can you please let us know if normal customer care offered it to you, or you directly called senior management desk?
Letting you know that, I had tried getting Infinia upgrade from customer care over call but they are denying everytime, even paid one. They are telling that it is invite only and cannot be upgraded directly.
If you personally have availed Infinia upgrade over call, please let us know.
Most of us would be able to use it as a strong reference for our upgrade!

I am not sure about salary account , but many of the users who got their card upgraded to infinia was by mailing grievience redressal or priority redressal , and some even couriered the physical upgrade form to their Chennai office . I think full proof way would be to go non-digital through physical upgrade form

I fully agree with each and every point you have mentioned.
He wrote salary account in his comment and this was a surprise to me as hearing it for the first time.
I have tried the grievance redressal route for upgrade, even escalated to PNO, but they won't budge even after having high limit on Regalia and having a high variant sal account.
I even managed to speak to senior management desk, but instead of escalation, the person told, our verdict is final, and for next level, we would suggest you to go for Banking Ombudsman.
I thought in my mind " Ye HDFC ka ego itna bada kabse ho gaya, ek saal hua hai card issuance restart hoke, aur inko itna ghamand hai ki Ombudsman se bhi Darna bhool gaye hain.
Was feeling like shifting all the TRV to Axis Burgundy
It's a matter of few years, and Axis will be on top of the CC game."

As already told you @SpoilerAlert Axis bank is also in the same condition. IMO The Small Finance Bank's provide a good resolution and good customer service for normal banking services.

I think May be your last few months spends were not matching the criteria , apart from having high limit hdfc also has a criteria of about some 7 to 8 lakhs spend in last few months for upgrade to infinnia .
I guess if you are spends are matching then directly go via the physical upgrade route , also axis is on the same customer satisfaction level of hdfc bank , it’s just that they have got a better product creator for those credit cards .

You're right in your thought process again.
My spends on Regalia were 0 'zero'
15k points were lying idle, still not even a smartbuy redemption.
I fear that trying via Physical route will also result in same rejection.
I have lowered my expectations with HDFC, now thinking of pressurising them for LTF DCB.
I know Cust care of Axis is not up to the mark, but Burgundy CC is somewhat doable.
What I appreciate about Axis is their core strength which is products like Magnus, Ace, Reserve.
On a side note
Dear Anirban, your journey has inspired me a lot on a personal level.
You portfolio is somewhat matching with mine in sense that you also love to collect LTF cards and also you have every bank Card.
My idealogy is also similar and belive in having LTF CC along with premium ones.
Your journey of Emeralde negotiation as LTF has further boosted my confidence in the fact that anything is possible in Banking.
As you mentioned for IndusInd Indulge also, it reassured my above belief.
I hope to get such cards LTF in coming future and prove the point.
Your way of negotiation is somewhat similar to that of Sumanta and Subhankar which is what I firmly believe in.
I am on my way to such milestones, and wish to remain motivated by such stories.

I had HDFC salary account for around 15 years and had credit card which was upgraded to Regalia few years ago. They also upgrade my salary account to classic account and I still do not know extra benefits with that. One fine day, customer service called and offered to upgrade to Infinia and I did not know as what is that card. I understood from the conversation, that it has better reward conversion compared to regalia. Since it was offered as LTF which I double checked with them, I gave my consent to upgrade. Later on, I came to know about better feature, benefits, rewards, smartbuy portal etc which is available with Infinia. I was little ignorant about credit card benefits till that time.

I think hdfc like salaried people compared to selfemployed. As salaried class is getting upgraded easily
