Yes, probably new. Never heard a fee on walled payments
It’s not 1%. I paid 80k and paid 4 rupees platform fees. That is 0.005%.
It is more like fixed fees. So the amount of bill being small makes the % look bad.

BBPS biilers are SBI, BoB, Kotak, Canara, AU CC and few others. All others are non-BBPS.

platform fee alag hota hai, MDR nahi hai woh.
platform fee charge woh companies karte hai jo world class service dete hai aur customers pagal hai uske service use karne k liye.
Rs1 to Rs4 bas suruwat hai baad me Rs100 to Rs500 tak platform fee charge karenge aur customers khushi khushi pay karenge.

This is the worst move by Paytm, they themselves put axe on their foot. I have seen today only. Platform fee applicable on my account from today onwards, yesterday it was not there.
Eventually one or other platform will charge this.

5 ruppes fees h bhai, 50K pay krne pe. Small txns pe 2 ruppees fees h. Not a big deal
See, that's the problem. These companies would start off by asking for a very small fee which many people won't mind paying. But after this becomes the norm, they would start increasing the amounts gradually and demand whatever they want. People need to resist these changes from day 1 itself but I don't see this happening right now but Hey, it's not the first time something like this has happened........ Let's see what unfolds.

These small amounts doesn't matter initially but later on they may increase it.
Nevertheless till millennia DC provides 1% CB (upto 400 per month), most of the users may continue using the services.

Bhai for u might be not, but for me it is, we have a lot of other options, there are several other players in the market, so we use them. We use to take cashback offers, instead of paying extra.
