But you said you had the option of RTGS and NEFT !

In these days of free UPI, I can see any usefulness of IMPS only for amounts in the range between 1L and 2L (and, IIRC, the upper limit of UPI has been enhanced to 2L for some cases).

you can see all the options ..... at a higher level sir... .. but limits will still be applicable as per transaction type...

Have you ever done RTGS for a 50K / 120K transaction in any bank?

There is a specific purpose for this transaction and UPI is not an option for me for this transaction.

Well, I happen to be very well aware of all that.

Below 2L, RTGS is not an option in my book. So when you said "I had options of RTGS and NEFT", it implied to me that the amounts involved were above 2L, that's all.

ICICI bank always charge IMPS transaction and after few days, i guess after transaction settled. IMPS charges get reversed.

After all of this , they infact corrected the transaction itself within 14 hours of the transaction time..

Note, they didn't reverse the fee amount. They corrected the amount of the transaction...
Very strange...
Okay I am now at peace ...

All good now. ICICI has self corrective mechanism here...

I think, during off peak times, they perform general debits as per normal rules and block the total amount as per normal rates and
when the maintenance is finished they actually post the transaction at which time it goes through all the rules applicable specific to that account type/ program.
This is what I feel
..
In nut shell:

During maintenance period:
1) Block temporary transaction limit , by soft posting..

After Maintenance period:

Post the right amount for all the soft postings...

It means txn fees which was included in trf previously, didn't reduce your balance?

It was same before and now? If not then instead of correction, reverse should be made to make it transparent.
