I have an non funded salary account (salary not credited past 10+ years) under privilege banking with zero mab and wealth management world debit card. I don't know what service charges are applicable on my account.

Probably because of upgrade to wealth management program for couple of years few years ago. I received the wealth management debit card on renewal without any special request but I was already downgraded to privilege banking by that time.

IMPS always happen instantly.
RTGS might take upto 30 mins in credit.

This is what it used to be. Now, I am not sure if there are any changes in that.

For me, it takes not more than a minute for the credit confirmation to come. So, "Real Time" is no exaggeration. I'd choose RTGS everytime over IMPS for its better documentation.

It's NEFT that takes 30 min to 1 hour these days, -- still not too bad, and is free online even for the greedier banks. It can take longer sometimes though.

UPI is always instant, so no worse than IMPS. And it's free.

I still do IMPS sometimes if it suits me, because it's free to me as well (I don't do transactions on my ICICI account due to their debit card nonsense).

As expected the customer care has zero clue on my account variant and the applicable service charges. They have only mention it as a zero balance account under privilege banking and forwarded the common service charges link which mentions IMPS charges are applied from 1st May 2024. But I just now paid my other bank credit card on iMobile (via IMPS) with zero charges

What is wrong with ICICI bank that all customers face this issue where the bank is clueless about the account variant a customer holds. Is it so tough for those incompetent people to identify the account variant? I myself have faced the exact same issue multiple times with multiple people from ICICI bank where they have zero clue about account variant.

Generally speaking first level CC of most of the Indian banks are fresh graduates and had very minimal training.
Most of TFians have more knowledge tahn any Banks first level CC.
