RuPay Platinum debit Card - Lounge access devalued:

RuPay Platinum Debit Lounge program will be effective from quarter starting 1st July 2024.

In the RuPay Steering Committee (SC) Meeting held on 28th May 2024, the updated proposition for RuPay Platinum Debit Card was discussed and the SC endorsed the following:

1 (one) Domestic Airport lounge access per quarter.

Issuers shall communicate the updated Lounge program to the card holders through bank's communication channels including but not limited to, welcome kits, e-mails, SMS, and website.

Note - some banks are already offer 1 (one) Domestic Airport lounge access per quarter and some banks dnt offer any Domestic Airport lounge access.

You can close it today, and they will still pay you the interest as per daily interest rate.

The same thing happened with the IOB Bank Platinum debit card. The quarterly access was reduced by one.

Not yet. One per quarter is still there. Access should be limited to high end cards with high fees AND customers using them for at least 25k (or more) per month. In addition, there can be a Rs250 per access charge domestically and Rs500 internationally. Then only the crowd would reduce a bit.

Yup seems logical. I would add rather then spends, it should be based on AQB.

Only AQB based cards HDFC to mushkil hi deta hai. U have to be continuously in touch with BM, RM, only then someone listens. Samne se offer tb hi aata hai when your spends trigger their threshold beyond a number, only then they give FYF offer or something else in HDFC.

100-200 ka cheque deposit karne jane me ussay jyada ka petrol or time jalta hai bhai. 1 month wait karna better hota hai

@Abhishek012 Is there any official site like dreamfolks for rupay which can tell what all lounges are available, how many accesses are allowed and how many are remaining.

I did see lounge list in rupay website, but it may not be updated on live basis and also doesn't have information on number of visits allowed and visits remaining. Also, is there any thread on technofino listing the number of visits for each bank/card?

It is not mentioned clearly on bank website and asks to check in rupay website and rupay website doesn't have any information.

Indian Bank Rupay Platinum Debit Card and Indian Bank Rupay Select Credit Card. Need information on both airport and railway lounge.

There is icici coral rupay also, but it is part of dreamfolks site and can track easily. CSB Jupiter rupay has listed clearly on site 1 domestic lounge per Qtr and needs 50K spend criterion. Kotak league rupay doesn't seem to have any accesses.

It works for cards which have direct partnership from banks. Not for rupay network based cards.
