SBI card blocked - what to do?

Hi everyone,

SBI has blocked my credit card on 1 Dec stating suspicious activity. I have called their customer care over 10 times, written 5+ emails, escalated it to their nodal officer. All they responded was that it will be resolved by 9 Dec. Today is 13 Dec and there is no updated. They keep saying we are investigating the matter and a resolution will be provided soon.

Can anyone help me here? What should I do?

You can visit nearby branch and ask to reactivate temporary blocked debit card due to suspicious activity or to save the hassle, apply new debit card from sbi website u will get it soon to your address and also apply virtual card for using online in the meantime

Thats is matter of credit card not debit

Ohh 🤭 my bad, simply make a card replacement request (chargeable) if card not getting reactivated within 24-48 hours after confirmation of txn done by you either online or IVR or on call request

I think you have missed an IVR call from SBI card on 9th December.

Ohh 🤭 my bad, simply make a card replacement request (chargeable) if card not getting reactivated within 24-48 hours after confirmation of txn done by you either online or IVR or on call request

Don't try to use it for at least 48 hours on same merchant which triggered suspicious activity blocking

If he miss retention team call they will simply close this card and again it is chargeable process to reactivate the card account

I got an automated call where I confirmed the transaction. Still no result.

I did not. I confirmed the transactions on the automated call.

In my case, My card has been reactivated immediately after automated call. But username unblocking process in SBI card app took another 2 days.

What did CS Head say? Next step in escalation is RBI Ombudsman, or try the Twitter route

Card finally unblocked after copying the CEO, CS, CS head, Nodal officer and Principal Nodal officer that I am putting a complain with the RBI. In parallel, raised a complain with the RBI and the card was unblocked in less than 24 hours.
