SBI Cashback Credit Card Application Process 2025

Hi Team, anyone recently ( in 2025) applied this SBI cashback credit card?

Which platform you have used to application?

What was your overall credit card total limit from other cc cards?

Do we get immediate approval or decline on screen while application?

I have total other cc limits around 24L

Will I be eligible to apply? 🥶

SBI has somehow tagged me as unworthy of sbi cashback card.
I have Savings account ( since 15+ years) and Credit Card (10+ years) with them and decent cibil score (800+).
Still whenever I apply a cashback card, it results in a CIBIL hit and rejection.
Wife ke cashback card se kaam chala raha hoon.

Sometimes an error occurs try after some time using the " Resume Application " option in Sprint and invite code manually if you have the choice.

I was able to complete the application. Now it says they need more info from me and a rep from their side will contact me for them.
Let's see how long they'll take to either reject or approve this.

After almost 10 days, now they have rejected my application. Can I do something or now there's nothing i can do about it for 90 days.

I don't think there is any way there. Its the only thing that is missing about our cards information to be displayed in the App.

There is one way, check there will be a SMS from SBI cards to check the status of your application, just click on it and check the status. As it will show approved and then it will take count down to 100% to show the virtual card. After 100% the virtual card will be generated maybe you will also receive OTP to see it. And then there you can click on show CVV to see it.

Note: you can also go directly to sbicards website and enter your application no. to check the status and see the virtual card. That's how I seen my virtual card CVV.

This is the current status.

It's different in my case because I am seeing the above status on the first step of application submitted even after 6 days.

So, after vkyc, then anumati portal.. a day later 2 verificaiton calls. And in the call they said my card is approved, and i can download the virtual card.
Now my status showing as application rejected due to internal policies. Idiots. 😁

I don't understand why they need this much of scrutiny for existing sbi card holders. They are not even giving new credit limit, just splitting the existing one.

How can i ask them for the exact reason? where to mail them?

No idea for Upgraded cards.
As we even can't see CVV for the physical card in SBI card application. So I think you need to wait for the card to arrive at your doorstep.

Drop an email to SBI cards and ask for the exact reason for rejection.
