SBI Cashback credit card official benefits revised w.e.f. 1st May 2023

REVISION OF BENEFITS ON CASHBACK SBI CARD:

With effect from 01 May 2023, following changes will be applicable on your CASHBACK SBI Card:

A. Below categories will not be eligible for Cashback benefit, apart from existing exclusions:

Category	Merchant Category Code (MCC)
Jewelry	5051, 5094, 5944, 7631
School & Educational Services	5111, 5192, 5942, 5943, 8211, 8220, 8241, 8244, 8249, 8299, 8351
Utilities	4814, 4900, 9399, 4816, 4899
Insurance Services	5960, 6300, 6381
Card, Gift, Novelty & Souvenir Shops	5947
Member Financial Institution/Quasi Cash	6011, 6012, 6051
Railways	4011, 4112

The Merchant Category Codes are defined by the Networks and are subjected to change basis their discretion and such changes shall be implemented basis communication from the Networks without any requirement for intimation/information to the customers.

B. Maximum Cashback that can be earned on online & offline spends in a statement cycle will be capped at `5000.

C. Complimentary Domestic Airport Lounge benefit will be discontinued.

Gyftr still giving 5% cashback for SBI cashback credit card but merchant MCC code - 5947

If Magicpin merchant MCC code also comes under 5947 then SBI will reverse the cashback anytime, anywhere, any universe, any dimension, any plane of existence.

Probably you exhausted limit of purchasing gv using credit cards. So wait for few days.

What is wrong with sbi cashback card

Spend more the 13,000 rs (cashback only 77rs)
All online shopping and air ticket (cleartrip)
8k on air ticket
5k on medicine tata 1mg

All transaction are settled.

I am also not getting proper cashback. This was the issue last month also with 1 transaction on Cleartrip.

This month even though transactions are all online - westside, PayU at an online retail merchant and Jiomart still haven’t received cashback for westside

If you get "AMAZON GIFT CARD" -it is 5947.

If you get "WWW AMAZON IN" It is 5399.

Anyway to get CB on PhonePe? So, there is an app where the only gateway allowed is PhonePe and SBI CB doesn't seem to be giving CB there.
I have SimplyClick and Axis Airtel as well, will either of them give CB?

gyftr is not giving 5% .. got 0 cashback ..

But they have mentioned mcc with it why would they do it if mcc is different & not mentioned in their circular. mcc matters in the end nothing else
