SBI Cashback credit card official benefits revised w.e.f. 1st May 2023

REVISION OF BENEFITS ON CASHBACK SBI CARD:

With effect from 01 May 2023, following changes will be applicable on your CASHBACK SBI Card:

A. Below categories will not be eligible for Cashback benefit, apart from existing exclusions:

Jewelry	5051, 5094, 5944, 7631
School & Educational Services	5111, 5192, 5942, 5943, 8211, 8220, 8241, 8244, 8249, 8299, 8351
Utilities	4814, 4900, 9399, 4816, 4899
Insurance Services	5960, 6300, 6381
Card, Gift, Novelty & Souvenir Shops	5947
Member Financial Institution/Quasi Cash	6011, 6012, 6051
Railways	4011, 4112

The Merchant Category Codes are defined by the Networks and are subjected to change basis their discretion and such changes shall be implemented basis communication from the Networks without any requirement for intimation/information to the customers.

B. Maximum Cashback that can be earned on online & offline spends in a statement cycle will be capped at `5000.

C. Complimentary Domestic Airport Lounge benefit will be discontinued.

But they have mentioned mcc with it why would they do it if mcc is different & not mentioned in their circular. mcc matters in the end nothing else

I saw payment name doesn't matter it changes sometimes i have observed it a lot like for cred all payments come under the same name but mcc is different for all

Payment is already settled as I mentioned and no cashback was given after settlement and name of merchant changed to "Amazon IRCTC Mumbai In" from "Amazon Mumbai In"

Sorry I mentioned yesterday, I did the transaction on 15th May so it's second day now and I did 2 more transactions on Tata Neu and those are settled for those I did get the cashback and for IRCTC booking, transaction is settled but no cashback added. I am mostly sure that I won't get the cashback as it clearly says AMAZON IRCTC Mumbai IN and with 1st May devaluation SBI updated that IRCTC transactions won't get any cashback

I booked flight ticket on easemytrip for 42000 but i didn't get cashback on that transaction. I have checked it after settlement. The name it is showing is "Easy Trip Planners Pri NEW DELHI IN" help me please

I won't get any cashback on this transaction because mcc reported is 4112 which is for railways. I also talked to easemytrip customer care but they don't care. And i think this is also true for MakeMyTrip they also report railway mcc for airline booking

Also add Cleartrip and Yatra. MCC reported is 4112 (personally not verified, one of my friend told me).

I agree, faced same issue with MakeMyTrip flight, MCC was 4112 railway, hence no cashback.
