This month only I got second card. I was having 2 debit cards already, and now applied one. The bank person askled me to block one od 2 debit card first, then only she can apply.

Thanks for sharing this. I was under impression that 5 VDC are max. till now in a FY as TnC said so. SBI silently reduced it to 2. I can't try now to close RuPay and generate new one as it won't allow. So going ahead with Rupay. Other 3 accs still have VISA. Maybe SBI took this decision because some people were deliberately closing and generating new one to get 300 pts (Rs.75) per time as activation bonus. I generated only once in Feb 2024 and never cared to close it or generate new one ntil unless VISA stopped giving.
Bonus pts had problem with Rupay only but from November it is with all. If it don't come, drop a mail at month end between 21st to 25th every month to get back those txn bonus.

You are not understanding, @Aniket has closed Rupay VDC also and now having no VDC at all. He closed VISA and generated Rupay and now closed Rupay also.
If there was a restriction, I would have got error too. Thing is this was the first time I closed VDC and generated new one. Before that only 1 was generated in Feb and closed on Dec 22 and generated new one on Dec 23.
I generated RuPay to please RuPay Godman aka @Abhishek012 and also as bonus pts were not coming in VISA variant for many txns, give Rupay try.
Rest all 3 accs. that belong to family have 2 VISA and 1 Master (don't remember actually as have to check again as it can be also VISA).
Yet to do any txn with new VDC as due dates are away. But will do on Dec 30.

What is your savings account variant? How come SBI allowed me while restricting you is beyond my understanding. Tap to Pay zyada use kar liya tha kya VISA pe? Aur kitney VISA VDC generate kiye thay?
Looking at all the mess I am not closing down any VDC now on family accounts. Wasn't even looking to do that for my own acc. also but stoppage of bonus pushed me to move to Rupay. This time I am saved as didn't faced issue generating new one and now as max. 2 limit is reached, I won't try again. Ab jo hai so hai. Pts aaye naa aaye.
Update: IDFC DC Txn on #SayToo got pts credited on 4th day while all other done before that and after on #YooniPay got nothing. Something is wrong on #YooniPay + IDFC DC. Will wait for 14 days and then contact idfc rewardz.
