Also I have derived simple method to calculate maximum transaction you have to do during campaigns.

Just Multiply the Max. Pts given for a campaign by 12.5 and you will get max. txn amount you have to do within a campaign.

For future campaigns, just look the maximum accelerated rewards and calcualte maximum txn amount with factor in table below.

Ex: 1. Winter Campaign of 5X has 500 Max. Points.

So Max. Amt = 12.5x500= Rs.6250. As SBI has 200 multiple txn amt should be Rs.6200 or Rs.6400.

2. Similarlly Bachat Boss Offer has 5X pts but has 300 max.accelereated pts.

So 12.5X300= 3750 which means Rs.3600 or Rs. 3800 txn max.

Keep in mind the 200 multiple factor in amount.

For 2X campaigns multiple factor will be 50 Multiply (Max. Accelerated Pts.). Suppose max. rewards are 500 pts under 2X campaign then txn amt will be 50x500= Rs.25000.

Simply more the rewards multiple factor, lesser will be the transaction amount to reach it. So 5X Accelerated offers or 10X will always have lowest txn amounts as compared with 2X.

I have question..
I have to pay 100k cc bill.
I know only 50k is enough for vdc.
My doubt is currently this is birthday month for my sbi vdc.
So how many points shall I receive by doing 50k transaction via sbi vdc including birthday month points and 5x carnival offer?

For single account 50k would be good.
For 50k you will receive 500 normal+ 500 virtual debit card bonus+ 1000 birthday month bonus from a single account.
I don't know about 5x offer

@surojitlaha correcting you as you missed doubling birthday points for bonus also.

@Ak Singh With VDC, dialy max. txn one can do is 50K. Split 1L in two txns of 50K. Edit: Just read you have two acc. with bday month. So use 50K in each.

Your points flow: 500 Normal (1X) + 500 VDC Bonus (1X)= 1000. As this is your birthday month both these pts credit will double adding 1000 as bday bonus which will credit between Feb 1-3. Total= 2000. Above this you will get 1000 milestone points. If you haven't used Dec 23- Jan 5 offer, you will get 500 and if you do one of txn by splitting txns on Canara Setu then 300 pts more.

So 50K txn will give you 500+500+1000+1000=3000 and add campaign offer pts of 500+300. Total= 3800 or Rs.950 for 50K.

Same with other account. So effectively 1.90% or Rs.1900 for 1L payment. Without birthday month it is 1.40% only as capaigns also running or 1% only if nothing is there and txn amt. is 50K and above in single txn or cumulative.

Do remember that sometimes VDC bonus aren't getting credited. Consider yourself lucky if it does automatically else after 15 days send them email to get it credited.

P.S: For txn of 6400 done yesterday at 4PM to 04:15 PM in 2 accs both have got 64+64. Normal came when checked at 05:30 PM and after an hour bonus also came. It came too fast. Seems like system is corrected. VDC Variant: VISA for both accs.

Fikar not. One of my friend recently got base points on Dec 29th and Bonus on Dec 30th. So wait for midnight or next 2 days. 🤣

Jab 5X bonus credit huya tha October month ka tab bhi next day tak pts aa rahe thay. Just like HDFC credits Millennia DC in batches, SBI gives chillar in batches.

Yes, but only if MCC code is 4900. Airtel uses 3 different merchant names. Go to CC payment via Debit card wala topic and see which merchant name is having MCC 4900

For AmEx MCC is 6012. So you will receive base+bonus but not 4X more campaign. Use Unipay or Setu to pay other cards.

i did txn yesterday both for boss bachat on setu and for carnival
