If i use sbi vdc on sbi rewardz for bill payment with rp+vdc, will i get my 0.5% rp on this txn?

Use it on Unipay for bill payments, not rewardz.

Hey TFians,

I came to notice that we can use SBI Rewardz website to pay all Utility Bills just like SBI Unipay. Beofre this I never noticed CC existed there.

Those of you who are using SBI DC for RPs can use earned points for CC Bill payment but only for maximum amount for which you have enough RPs.

Steps:

1. Register at https://rewardz.sbi/ with Cust ID and Acc. No. (You can also login without creating account through SBI Netbaking or YONO App and go to Reward Point redemption menu).

2. After logging in, Select Recharge and Bill Payments and then View All.

3. Here the page just like UniPay will open. Select Credit Card followed by your CC from the list. All BBPS supported CC banks listed there.

4. Enter the amount and proceed.

5. You can pay CC Bill equal to reward points by diving it by 4 as 1RP= 0.25p.

For e.g- If you have 2000 RPs then pay CC bill of equal to Rs.500 or less.

Many of you may know it but it is for those who don't. This way you can redeem your points to fullest. Only -ve is it doesn't allow payment on CC via other payment methods.

Bhai ek kaam karo, SBI ko mail daal de ki VISA/Master variant hi hata do VDC se. Is se aapka keemti samay bach jayega aur us keemti samay mein jaha jaha VISA/Master ke card kaam kar rahe hai unko bandd karwa dena. 😆

Keh do sabke muh pe, Use only Rupay.

Dekho bhai saare apps debit card option isiliye bhi removed kar rahe he kyunki unhe atleast 0.6% toh Visa/mastercard ka minimum MDR dena par raha hai, kuch apps jiska 3rd party payment gateway hai shayad 0.9%+GST bhi dena par raha ho.

Aise me RuPay DC use karne pe MDR ZERO hai jisse apps jaldi se DC option nahi removed karega.

Moral of the story - main culprit visa/mastercard wale hai, tum sab visa/mastercard walo k chalte apps ko losses ho rahe hai MDR me and DC option removed kar rahe hai. 😜😜

RuPay me multiple benefit hai toh mai RuPay kyun na suggest karu. Visa/mastercard use kar k kal ko phir se ek aur app DC option removed kar dega phir rohte rahoge aur bologe ki mere chalte removed hua. matlab -

Yes, first apply virtual RuPay Global variant and then hotlist your physical visa debit card.

Take your virtual RuPay Global variant screenshot, use this card to set/reset your UPI PIN or other SBI service if required.

Which Debit card use for Credit Card bill payment in April 2025:

1) IDFC Debit cards: All IDFC account holder apply 2nd debit card - Add-on IDFC Firstap Sticker RuPay Platinum Debit Card.

You will get same reward points and 10x reward points benefit as per your account variant - Normal/General, Select, Wealth and Private account.

Apply 2nd IDFC Debit card ( primary visa/mastercard card + this add-on RuPay card both will coexist) from IDFC app, under your debit card section.

you will get card hotlist option on sbi yono app debit card blocked section for your visa debit card.

For new account wait 2 - 3 months to get it mapped in rewardz portal (in my case cc told me to wait 45 working days from dc activation) . Don't worry you will get all pending points once it get mapped. Keep transacting without worries.
