SBI Sprint Instant SBI Card for *All!

As of today (1 Sept 2022), according to SBI Card Customer Care, SBI SimplyClick card is the one that is most likely to be generated instantly. For all others, the chances are less, as compared to SimplyClick.
Also, once 3 months have passed, you can convert your SBI Card to any other variant (also confirmed by SBI Card Customer Care).
I had gotten Simplyclick instantly, but when I applied SimplySave for my cousin, it was stuck, and there was general application process (just like any other). His CIBIl at that time was 781.
That's good. So what is minimum requirement for simplyclick card?

To be on the safe side, your employment details need to be updated in CKYC or you should be holding an account with SBI for some years (let's say 2 years).
I have completed all KYC in Jan 2020 only with first SBI card. I do not have any other relationship with SBI than this.

it is not instant as of the document error
but i have got approval message today from sbi , I applied on 18-06-22
still to get details like credit limit can't follow up on the link send by them
It says "sbi Card credentials as entered by you are incorrect. Please try again or call up the SBI Card helpline on 39 02 02 02 (prefix your city code) or 1860 180 1290, 1800 180 1290 (only for MTNL and BSNL users)"
Were u able to do aadhar digilocker verification...! ++ was there an error on documents verification page...?? Like something went wrong... Did u received any call or any visit...??

I can confirm this to be true at least in my case. I had recently gotten my KYC updated for my savings account with the bank in July last year but I had no credit history back then and neither did I want a credit card.

When I applied for SimplyClick using sprint, all they asked me was for my employment details and Aadhar e-sign through DigiLocker. Within minutes I received approval SMS and I could start using my card instantly.

Wait, did you do address KYC or employment KYC? How does employment KYC affect the application process? Is employment KYC done the same way as regular KYC?

No. I meant my personal KYC details were already updated with the bank the last year. So, when I applied on Sprint, it was a simple Aadhar e-sign using Digilocker and nothing else was necessary.

I applied on Aug 23rd for SBI Prime, got the same error on the submit documentation page that everyone else did. Heard nothing from them until today when they called me to get my vKYC done. According to the lady on the call, it seems they would have done IPV if I lived in a metro but since there aren't any agents nearby to my city, I only had to do vKYC? She said I'd been approved, and they didn't ask for any documentation at all.

The vKYC dude said I'd get an update within 7 days. Hmm, so I'm guessing I've crossed the point of rejection and can expect to get the card soon? The whole process has been very opaque.

Got another call for personal data verification today -- it turns out the variant of the card I'm getting is SimplyClick, not the Prime I applied for. So I have to assume that either SBI itself is just giving me a lower variant instead, or the first SBI agent I talked to may have done some switcheroo where she applied for the lower one instead of Prime. Apparently, I will get another verification call from their head office later and then the card will get dispatched. Guess I will try to upgrade to Prime later on.

You can, once you finish 2-3 months. The card will be replaced by any card of your choice, and old card will be discontinued. In my case, it was 3 months, but many people have gotten it earlier

Thanks for the info! I'll try after a month and see what they say, maybe I'll get lucky. If not, 3 months isn't too long to wait either.
