Scam Alert for Amex Referral ⚠️

Hello fellow technofino community members,
Be cautious of DMs promising Amazon Gift Vouchers for Amex approval via referral. I fell victim to a scam like this by @Martius (Sahil). I have screenshots for the whole conversation.

just think why will someone give 3k voucher when they only get 8k points which are worth max 2k in vouchers....

He was collecting points for taj voucher which value of 14k for 24k MR points.

Sting operation ah 😂.
No bro, I just like amex and I want to own one in the future. That guy just randomly (or maybe after seeing my profile pic) sent a message to me asking if I was looking for amex card.

not always, there are people giving more than that including me and anirban. We have something that we can afford to give or have different plan for that points.

Disclaimer: I was not scammed as I never applied (could have been if what others are saying is true) just sharing my experience with the guy.

Also, Is that guy scanning all threads? I just mentioned in one of the posts (not on amex channel) that I was looking forward to getting MRCC and he reached out.

Curious enough I didn't respond and GC offer went up in few hours 😛

Whole Story is this guy @Martius posted in a thread that he is giving amazon pay voucher if we apply amex card from his referal link and card gets approved too. I expressed my interest in the thread. (These posts are deleted by moderators as this was not allowed so I dont have proof for this but have all chats screenshots in dm one). Then this guy dmed me asking if I am interested and he'll provide 4k voucher for 1 card approval , 8k for 2 cards and 10k for trifecta.
I asked him is he seriously giving this much amount to which he said yes. I confimed twice and he said he'll give 4k voucher of any brand for amex card approval using his referral link after I send the approval screenshot. Reason he gave for high amount - "Only thing is I am only looking for 48000 MR points since i am planning to use it for Taj hotel booking in the near future so I already have got 2 people who’ve applied so i will only be taking in 4 more applications where i can provide the Gift cards so whenever you decide to apply just ping me!!". I got convinced and I said yes to this and applied through his referral link on 10th. My application got approved on 12th afternoon and I pinged him screenshot in the evening but he has ghosted me .
There is a similar case with @the_dark_knight where he has encountered the same chats and same scam by @Martius .

If it's too good to be true, it usually is too good to be true. XD

Even I was thinking of offering vouchers as rewards to my referrals but people like these really mess up the situation and make it difficult for everyone else.

Don't promise if you can't deliver, just help and spread the word, some people would still be kind enough to use your link and apply.
