SCB shockingly revised my limit to 10K.

Your credit card account credit limit has been revised from INR 130,500.00 to INR 10,000.00. For any queries, pls contact our customer care- StanChart

Is this temporary? How can i get my limit back?

Solution
This is SCB's reply regarding limit decrease over mail and twitter. This is the final verdict. They can't increase limit even if we escalate

Same thing happened with me today; and the revised limit is ₹10k!

Low usage might be the reason as I don't use it that much (only 1-2% of the limit per month).

Interestingly, I was thinking 2-3 days ago to close my SCB and AU Bank CCs as I don't use them at all - only Amex and HDFC (plus IDFC for EMI purchases)

Reached out to twitter handle of scb, this is their reply
thank you for reaching out us. Please note, the credit limit increase and decrease on the card will be based on several factors & credit checks as per the bank’s internal policy. Appreciate your understanding. ~ST

Please note that the bank will conduct a bureau check once in every six months, and the credit limit increase and decrease on the card will be determined by several factors. Appreciate your understanding. Thank you! ~TS

There's a LOT going wrong with this bank. Even more so in recent times than in the past.

But they're NOT American from any angle. It's a historically British-Indian-South African bank, that's now a Hong Kong bank with HQ in England and listed in India. Nothing American at all... In fact they go out of their way to ensure minimal un-Americanness.
