SCB Credit Card Limit Revised to 10k

SCB shockingly revised my limit to 10K.

Your credit card account credit limit has been revised from INR 130,500.00 to INR 10,000.00. For any queries, pls contact our customer care- StanChart

Is this temporary? How can i get my limit back?

This is SCB's reply regarding limit decrease over mail and twitter. This is the final verdict. They can't increase limit even if we escalate

I had received similar mail today
Your credit card account credit limit has been revised from INR 164,200.00 to INR 10,000.00

I was primarily having this card only to pay taxes. Before the tax season had even begun these guys have made the card non-usable😱

I have been using Standard Chartered Credit Card Since 2013. At present I am holding their DigiSmart Card with limit of Rs.2.90L. During this 11 years journey with them i got multiple limit enhancement and card upgrades which i took each time. it;s a LTF card. Today i got SMS from Bank that your card limit has been revised to Rs.10,000/- . this is a big shock and joke with me. I am holding super premium cards like HDFC DCB with limits above 15L. I have used SC card mostly for Myntra shopping, there is no any abuse, manufactured spends or anything that is suspicious to take this hard...

Actually overlimit is charged when u perform transaction more than available limit. Here u didn't perform any transaction.
Firstly u have to give overlimit consent, i hope u didn't gave.

No. Never gave any consent of overlimit to any bank and will never give.

I don't remember exact number but earlier it was more than 1 lakh and now little over 50k

Lucky you, that spending saved u, otherwise they would have reduced to cheap 10k
