{Solved} Axis Magnus - Travel edge and Yatra

I just wanted to double sure with people who used it. I got my cousin bro who called me he needed a flight booked from Patna to Dubai.
Flight cost 11588rs
So I thought why not put Magnus to use? Did anyone try Magnus on travel edge? or Yatra (if we buy from Gyftr)
Magnus base reward rate = 6 points per 100
(No convenience fee) For travel edge = 5X reward points, so 11588/100 = 115x6 = 695. Now 5X points = 695 X 5= 3475 points which are around 2800 miles.
(850rs convenience fee) For yatra = 10X points = 11588/100 = 115x6 = 695. Now 10X points = 695 X 10= 6950 points which are around 5560 miles

2800-5560 Miles + Milestone benefits. Sounds too good to be true. Literal 24-47.9% back as miles. (I and my son fly frequently so it is useful to us)

Can anyone confirm my calculations are right? and will these travel edge transactions get added to milestone spends?
Plz anyone who has tried this or has proper knowledge about this answer.

Since Yatra vouchers are non refundable, I thought of different alternative.

Buy MMT Voucher on Amazon Pay. Use ASV to buy(5X Points).

Reasons.
1.MMT voucher is refundable.
2. It's partially redeemable. Remaining balance can be used for next trip.
3. I can use Indigo flexi plus option while booking. Indigo claiming that they will only deduct 500 Rs in case of cancelation, if done before 3 days.I have never tried this option before. Let hope they stand true for there words.
4. If I cancel the flight.Hopefully I will get refund in the voucher. There is option of checking voucher balance.
5. I have another trip planned,so I can use the refunded amount for next trip.
6. Multiple denomination voucher can be used in single booking( Max 3).
7. 10000 Voucher is available. ( My trip cost is aprrox 30K.
8.5x Points of ASV.

Only one thing is keeping me from trying travel edge is that it's not showing Indigo flexi plus option.

Your way of responding reflects that you are quite new to the forum.
Please note, I have been using Magnus since a very long time. Don't believe me, read below then.
It doesn't make sense in terms of how long you are in game, only those who will win who has a better trick and who can come up with unique ideas.
P.S. You might be knowing Nokia giant who was in a major player in mobile industry. You made a childish comment to stockpile Yatra GVs, so i commented, otherwise i don't have any intension to comment.

What's childish in stocking up Yatra GV's of higher denominations?
This further proves my point of you being a newbie.
See, everyone in this community has been stocking up vouchers, let it be Apay, HPCL, or xyz.
The purpose is pretty simple:
1. Either to achieve 1L milestone requirement on Magnus.
2. Either out of fear of missing out, due to low stock.
3. Short term rewards/bonus points on few vouchers such as Myntra as of now which is running at 10x for a limited period.
Devaluations are inevitable, I hope you know that.
Go to gyftr right now and check where is 10k GV of Yatra, if some wise people have taken my advice seriously, they would have been in a much better position than regretting today, because it is gone now.
I am not saying to stock up due to Manufactured spends, but for those who have an upcoming travel plan, and know it for sure that it'll be consumed.
You yourself have commented in a post to use ER points before devaluation.

This further justifies, that you have commented for the sake of it, i.e. timepass/fun, which is not the main goal of this forum.
It is primarily meant for value proposition/benefitting from Credit cards, which I have been doing and sharing with others as in my Yatra post, unlike you.
So, better do some research, knowledge sharing next time before commenting randomly.
Peace!

Yes yatra 10k is gone now. Do all the three vouchers have to be of same Denomination to work?
Absolutely correct. The same denomination rule is strictly followed by Yatra.
I had already asked in my original post to stock them as they rarely are available.
Whoever understood it's importance/use must have definitely collected them.
Bcoz 10x is just double of 5x which traveledge provides, even if considering some cons of Yatra, it's worth.

I was waiting for 1st May to stock some but I guess the wait is going to be longer now. Could you kindly share when was the last time Yatra 10k vouchers were available in stock? Thanks!

It's a bummer to miss some rare opportunities, I can truly understand your concern.
I don't have an exact idea as to when was the last time, it was available, but as per a recent comment by @Unknown1 , he may be able to tell you precisely when it appeared last time on Gyftr.

It's not worth waiting for it again.
You may consider Traveledge to make your booking , or book your ticket in multiple parts on Yatra, that's all you can do.
Thanks!

Definitely feels like a wasted opportunity. Having said that, I don't have any travel plans for the next 6 months so I'd comfortably wait for another chance to grab some. And, if it doesn't pop up again, then Traveledge would be the next best option.
Thank you so much for letting us know about this excellent deal. It certainly helped those who made the best use of it.

Just remember it's 16.66 rs per point on base. 5x means it'll be 3.3 rs per point.

@RewardsAlert @Wealth is my birth right!

Magnus experts - I made a flight booking with Traveledge today. I guess we don't need to add any coupon code for 5x. The bonus points will be credited in 120 days. Am I right?

Edit: I mean it is a feature of traveledge portal and do we know till when this 5x is there?
Yup no coupon code is required.

And I got traveledge 5x rewards after a month.. approx. 40 days.

No code is needed, it tracks automatically,
Secondly, we don't know till when they continue, but it is an exclusive feature for MAGNUS card, not even on Reserve.

Thanks. I tried Yatra also for my return booking. It was quite complex to estimate price and come back to gift edge and buy vouchers and go and book. Gift edge mentions 3 vouchers can be used but didn't mention they have to be in same denominations.

I thought it was like Yatra cash to be added and pay using it but it is not. I didn't read this forum properly. So ended up using only one voucher and other one is there. But at least they have validity till end of October.

Do you know whether they can be used for any other booking in yatra?

Traveledge is neat and clean without convenience charges. I will use it from now on 👍
