Standard chartered savings a/c

Hello,

I thinking to open a standard chartered Bank account.

1. Credit card offer
2. Cashback Debit Card

But don't want to maintain 25k because it is better to go with idfc or hdfc at this AMB.

I saw digital savings a/c and 2 in 1 account in their SoC but branch refused.

Anyone have more information.

so many restrictions in BSBDA. Better to hold at least 25K account.

no problem until now
only around calendar year bm calls and asks for funding to maintain liquidity or for his bonus

I got the account this month.

SCB personnel informed me that only prime variant would get fetch prime CB DC. Downgrading this account would lead to closure of this DC. What's your experience? Downgraded yet?

Nope. You can request for account downgrade.

That I am still searching because mine is still 2L MAB one only, will look into this and update.

Please do update once you downgrade to aXcess Plus - regarding card cashback

I haven't downgraded yet.
But many have reported that still the debit card is active and one can get cashback.
@VijayflyRaven any comments on this ? Have you downgraded ?

I have to downgrade. Yet to go to the branch which is far away. Planning to do it next month.

Also my account is still 15 days baby

I opened my account yesterday. Debit card available in app but not usable as card number is hidden. Branch I chose is of Delhi but it shows as Mumbai. May be still pending with back end team. Now I am to fund this account to avail Aug'2023 benefits (if get to know card number anyhow, which I don't find solution of). Can I fund it online? If yes, how? UPI mode max is 1L / day, i think IP is 2L. The branch doubts if 2L to be deposited in one go or I can UPI through two different banks - 1+1 L ?

Yup. My account was also opened without IP cheque. I transferred 2L through NEFT. You must have got the A/C No. And IFSC so NEFT or IMPS will do the job.

Also Debit Card details won't be available on Mobile Banking only when physical card is delivered then only you can use it.
So almost impossible to do transaction in August

Also let the account fully established within a week
Then only start funding else might be possible your account gets freezed

Since August milestone you cant achieve anyway - better be patient and start doing from September onwards
