Hello TFCians,

As 2024 comes to an end, 2025 marks a new beginning for all of us. We are about to reach the milestone of 50,000 registered members, which is a significant achievement.

The TF Community is now widely regarded as a trusted source of information by many individuals, bankers, and notable figures in the financial industry. With the increasing number of members, we must ensure that the quality of the TF Community does not decline.

Lately, I have personally observed some members diverting conversations away from the actual topic of a thread, which is not acceptable. Additionally, a few members are posting memes and GIFs purely for fun. While lighthearted fun is fine occasionally, doing so repeatedly is something we can no longer allow.

Please consider this a warning to such members. If this behavior continues, we will have to take stricter actions.

We have an "Off-Topic" section where you can post whatever you like, have fun, create social groups, and enjoy. However, we must keep the main forum sections free from spam. This is essential to maintain the quality and reputation that the TF Community has built over the years.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Wishing all the wonderful members of TechnoFino a very Happy New Year!

Best regards,
Sumanta Mandal

Hoping there will be stronger vigilance and actions else we will end-up being e-playground than a knowledge community.

@HumorSimpson End is Here for your End is near GIF

Btw I am also a part of that bakc**di posts in threads. Will now be a mute spectator from new year. Will reply only to where I can contribute.

@TechnoFino does this rule also apply to profile posts? Or we can still continue there?
No changes for profile posts.

What if the OP of the thread is fine with all the fun and memes?

I can at least speak for @VISHESH_BANSAL. He had created an Axis Liberty account thread, which now has over 300 pages filled with information and lots of fun/memes

In that same thread, we (including myself) are 7-8 people constantly having fun, but we also help out newbies if their questions are reasonable.

Would that be an issue too?

I vote that it should be an issue and not be allowed. When people click on a thread they expect relevant information, they don't want to sift through 100 pages only to find 3 pages with useful info. I myself have been through this and it is extremely annoying going through a thread trying to find some information about a problem you're dealing with only to have to read through 30 pages of immature and irrelevant jokes to find some relevant and useful info.

It’s your fault if you are incapable of reading the information that is clearly written on the first page and has been updated whenever the banks make changes.

There is a feature called threadmarkers, people should use it. But, 90% of the TF people don't even know about it.

Forget 90%, people even Legends don't even mark the answers on the post after getting their queries answered.

Thread hijacking shouldn't be allowed. Sticking to a topic is really important. If you need to discuss other topic, create a new thread....

you do realize this forum is for information and not joking around? why are we allowed to comment on this website if all the information is available on the first page? I'm talking about finding information in the discussion, not the op. just like there is a feature called threadmarkers now there is a separate section to joke around, let's see the "pros" like yourself use that as intended.

Same topic, 100 pages... its ok... But if people are discussing different things and the thread crossing 100 pages, this shouldn't be allowed. it will be very difficult to find critical information, topic, thread should be related to the title of the thread.
