Strict Rules to Be Enforced for Maintaining the Quality of TF Community

Same topic, 100 pages... its ok... But if people are discussing different things and the thread crossing 100 pages, this shouldn't be allowed. it will be very difficult to find critical information, topic, thread should be related to the title of the thread.
True for the face value but
Everything has saturation point

There are different kinda members
Some comes and goes
Some are really professional
Some might be for information

But those 1k members who contributions are 90 % in the forum makes the forum alive
They are here
For sharing ,fun and for some it's the only social media they use
Some made good friends

It's very uncharted.
Content moderation is good but if you go tad strict.
Old & active member will lose the vibe .

It's all about energy 🫰

Another thing is I have often seen 2 people fighting like anything on a thread
one replying to another
his ego hurts
another replies too
initial persons' ego hurts too
he replies again and so on
even on this very announcement thread similar situation is going on (must've figured out automatically)
even this needs to be stopped
(arey galti hogyi to theek hai be polite accept and leave
nahi reply karte rahenge)
@TechnoFino ik this has no concern with you for the most part but still adding to your knowledge what I've seen happening!
Absolutely... 100% true.

Members should have fun while maintaining quality. As I mentioned earlier, topic-related fun (within limits) is fine, but if someone starts a thread on a particular topic and people just come in, make jokes, and forget the actual subject, that won't be allowed—and shouldn't be. For that, we have the off-topic section and social groups where members can have fun. To maintain the quality, we need to implement these measures.

@TechnoFino I had a QOL suggestion regarding this. Implement a reminder system of sorts that asks a poster (after a set amount of their inactivity on a post that they made) if their query has been resolved and what the resolution was. This will help other people immediately know the answer to the question even if the OP forgets to mark their answer as solved themselves. It will also help moderators keep an eye out for threads that are being revived with only irrelevant posts and make it easier to curb it.

Hello TFCians,

As 2024 comes to an end, 2025 marks a new beginning for all of us. We are about to reach the milestone of 50,000 registered members, which is a significant achievement.

The TF Community is now widely regarded as a trusted source of information by many individuals, bankers, and notable figures in the financial industry. With the increasing number of members, we must ensure that the quality of the TF Community does not decline.

Lately, I have personally observed some members diverting conversations away from the actual topic of a thread, which is not acceptable. Additionally, a few members are posting memes and GIFs purely for fun. While lighthearted fun is fine occasionally, doing so repeatedly is something we can no longer allow.

Please consider this a warning to such members. If this behavior continues, we will have to take stricter actions.

We have an "Off-Topic" section where you can post whatever you like, have fun, create social groups, and enjoy. However, we must keep the main forum sections free from spam. This is essential to maintain the quality and reputation that the TF Community has built over the years.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Wishing all the wonderful members of TechnoFino a very Happy New Year!

Best regards,
Sumanta Mandal
If you're counting against me removing the hehe reaction 😂, then you're wrong.

If you go through that thread, I just commented POV about myself & didn't intend to deviate the topic but other members did it.

Removing Hehe reaction isn't great decision IMO. Now many will need to put haha reaction instead of hehe & OP will get offended unnecessary thinking why someone is laughing at their post.

I agree with spam thing & understand the sincerity of that post.
And before I could reply @Subhankar , the thread was locked.

@TechnoFino My few cents:
  • Take away the rights of the newbies from creating a new thread. We already have a lot of threads which cover 99% of the topics and credit cards out there. There is a low chance of newbies adding something important which other long term members have missed. Moreover, if this is the case then they can always PM the Mods for this. Also, they can always post in the existing threads
  • All new threads should be approved by moderator before being published. This will discourage repetitive topics and repetitive posts
  • Mods responsibility should be given to people who are active and are really interested in contributing. Being a mod is a thankless job but requires a lot of effort. So, it is more suited for a member who is really interested in it for contribution not just for the Mod Badge.
  • Mods should give regular warning to members and impose soft ban for a week or few days who repetitively disregard guidelines

Irrelevant
Mods are not paid workers 😁 .
They can moderate post doesn't mean each mod knows all topics posted in sub sections.
Good night

Why do you think I targeted you? There are many other members who misuse the emoji as well.

Just to clarify, TF Community mods enjoy certain perks, such as free access to the RML section, an ad-free experience (mods can turn off ads for themselves), and access to our mods-only group (which is mainly for discussing mod work but can also be used to discuss personal queries, etc.).

padh to lete reply karne se pehle. It is already mentioned.

Lastly, thread moderation was meant for newbies not for everyone.
For newbies it's
Tf neo section which never gets categorised to sub sections.

Also I have stopped commenting on tf neo posts . It gets highlighted and gets unnecessary light
And they are rude most of time

Else me & @HumorSimpson regularly attend unattended tf neo posts .or tag people who knew about it

You know very well that anything (i.e. reaction) can be misused.

Hehe reaction was heartbeat for many members. Those members will flew away.

Moderation on topics are necessary, completely agree with that & with this thread as well.

But Hehe reaction removal isn't justified.

Still it's upto you, have a good day.

Sincerely,
D₹V.

Lastly, there shouldn't be a new thread for every variation of the same problem. For example, lets says anyone's HDFC KYC failed for some reason and there is an old thread for it. But now if there is a new variation of the HDFC KYC problem from someone else then it should be asked in the same thread rather than a new thread.

I don't know what is the solution to this problem but it is one of the reasons for so much clutter and repetition.

This ^^

Zomato reaction wasn't just a simple reaction. It was a "YES" nod in a humour way.

Well put sir 🫡

The only thing I am unhappy about is that the reactions are too tiny to see and overlapping each other. And size is too tiny.

Emoji reactions are meant to be enjoyed and fun. Why are they so tiny to see in this revamped UI? Make them BIG: 🍔

if people want to leave the forum because they can't use an emoji then it seems like they aren't really that into the community for the intended purposes. good riddance imo.

You're denying the fact that priority changes & after 2-3 years. You won't be seen here.

It's funny but fact.
i'm not denying anything, i'm stating that if a person wants to leave this community because they can't use their emoji then this community doesn't really mean much for them and they probably don't add much or gain any value from it.
