Suggest way to get Infinia Upgrade from DCB

I have sent a mail to PNO for LTF infinia upgrade. Let's see what they reply back. I will be happy with a FYF infinia as then I can give an add-on card to my father as he lives in a tier 3 city where DCB acceptance in offline mode is not good.

Acceptance issue of dcb is real. At many offline and online its not accepted. But no problem at e commerce sites. Also tap and pay never works in diners

I have been using it for 9 months across Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, UP and MP. Not once I have had an offline acceptance issue even though I often swiped at many standalone / non-branded / non-MNC places. I have had acceptance issues only online on at least 2 occasions I can recall - La Pino's Pizza, PayTM DTH / PrePaid Recharge. There were a couple of more occasions that I forgot but not on any site where I make big spends.

Tap & Pay was not working in the initial few months. Now it works everywhere partially i.e. it asks for PIN after tapping despite the transaction value being below the Contactless Limit set in the app. Personally, I do not believe Tap & Pay is a feature that should decide whether you get one card over another.

The RM has requested me to open a savings max account instead as that would be beneficial for him as well. He’s promising that he’ll get the Infinia approved.

Thanks to this community I have managed to upgrade my 4 year old regalia first to DCB and then infinia metal in just 4 months.

This is a regular upgrade for a qualified person meeting the requirements. I have never said it is not possible to upgrade. However, he spent four years on Regalia and then a while on DCB along with a lot of spends. DCB to Infinia upgrade is definitely possible and somewhat easy. I had a Moneyback with a 62k limit and they had denied any upgrade or limit increase. I didn't want to wait 5 plus years and go through the hassle.

Na na even for fyf they need these conditions.

Definitely! Visit a medicore branch and ask the BM to give you ltf infinia in exchange of imperia account with good funding or by shifting your salary account. Thank me later when you procure it

@Bugs Bunny I'm not sure why you think Infinia LTF is that easy to get. They gave it like candy during COVID times but now, forget LTF, even normal infinia is very difficult to get.

For Infinia LTF, GH approval is required.

Can one suggest how to upgrade Diners Black LTF to Infinia LTF. Already having preferred banking and current credit limit is more than 13 lakhs though usage is very less (around 5-6K per month since one year 2023). Once checked with RM last year who said that upgrade is not showing and only possible in the paid variant (possibly with documents)
Also, if Tata Neu Rupay Infinity card can be procured as LTF. currently showing FYF in Tata Neu app.
Tata Neu Infinity is priority as looking for Rupay card on UPI for small payments.

I held Diners privilege LTF (without account) and Magnus until Magnus’s devaluation. I had 0 spends on my Diners privilege card since last December and asked hdfc to upgrade my card to DCB LTF based on my magnus spends and salary, which they did.

I wish to get Infinia but my spends for the last 5 months since I received DCB are barely 6lakhs and they are not revising the credit limit as well which is only 5 lakhs ( I have credit limit of 30 lakhs on my icici sapphiro).

How do I approach them to upgrade to Infinia based on the salary criteria alone.

Will creating a salary account with hdfc help? Or should I try talking to Axis to upgrade my magnus to burgundy ( I don’t trust axis enough to maintain relationships with them) ?

Sorry for deviating. I'm looking to get DCB LTF. I currently have Regalia Gold (spends around 8L in the last year). If you don't mind, what's your spend on Magnus, what's your salary (ballpark figure), did you mail priority redressal?

- Net monthly income of >=2.75L (but if this is not met then it can be handled by RM if you have salary account and past good relationship)

Earlier tried twice but the spend criteria was not met. Request will get rejected even if last 6 months spend is 6/6.5L. They have a hard cut off at 7L/7.5L it seems.

You upgraded 6L Regalia Gold to infinia? I have read many stories where upgrade was rejected because limit was not 10L. Also approx salary.

Any tips? I have Regalia Gold as well
