Suggest way to get Infinia Upgrade from DCB

If you have a good limit on DCB (> 8 lakhs) and a good spend history in the past few months, mail their credit card grievance email id and ask for an upgrade. HDFC does give generous LE (annually/ semi-annually) if your spends are good.

I got DCB FYF after using Regalia for over 6 years (automatically through NetBanking), but acceptance was a serious issue. Mailed them about this and got upgraded to Infinia in less than 2 months after getting DCB. My limit on Regalia itself was very good though and I spent 1.5L+ on DCB in less than 2 months before asking for the upgrade.

You upgraded 6L Regalia Gold to infinia? I have read many stories where upgrade was rejected because limit was not 10L. Also approx salary.

Any tips? I have Regalia Gold as well
For upgrade, make sure last 6 months spend is >=7.5L (more the better). Before the successful attempt, I tried twice earlier but both got rejected because spend was <7L so it seems the spend checkbox is a non-negotiable criteria.
For income criteria, their soft-limit is 2.75L net/month for last 3 months. My salary was fair bit less than that but my salary account is in HDFC too and the RM I approached handles the account books of our apartment association. So he managed to tweak that rule a bit. If in-hand salary is more than the limit then you should be able to upgrade easily.

Thank you. Your RM seems like a great guy

Sorry for deviating. I'm looking to get DCB LTF. I currently have Regalia Gold (spends around 8L in the last year). If you don't mind, what's your spend on Magnus, what's your salary (ballpark figure), did you mail priority redressal?
The spend on Magnus in the 6 months prior to that was around 10.6 lakhs and base salary without the bonus component was 41

Please share more details.
Last year when magnus devalued, I applied for dcb by sending my magnus spends to redressal id, which was approved.
This January, I asked them for Infinia for which they said I have to open a salary account in hdfc and that was a prerequisite not a guarantee , which wasn’t possible as it was outside the account change window for my company, so I contacted our corporate RM who asked me to open a Savings account, the MAB was a minor, 25k inr.

My spends in last 6 months approx 6 then, He tried to made a case for me which was tough as I had 0 relationship with hdfc, and made a fresh application for me again in last week of may. During the procedure (last week), I made a big swipe, and it made things easier for him, He called me on Friday that it was approved from Chennai, and I got it delivered yesterday (Saturday)

Even I am facing acceptance issues on my DCB metal and want to upgrade to Infinia.

My limit is only 5 lakhs though. It's been only 2 months since I got upgraded to DCB but my spends have been 2L+.

Can you please help with what exactly you mentioned in the email for the Bank to upgrade your card?

you can try mailing them that DCB has had acceptance issues and you have spent a good amount on DCBM. Hence they should consider the upgrade.
IMO this might not work now. Atlewst in my case it did not work. I even mailed them my Magnus statement in feb-24 showing the merchant details who did not accept Diners. But HDFC denied upgrade every time. Finally after spending 8L in last 6 Months I got Infinia

I mentioned that my usage has been restricted due to acceptance issues and would need to rely on another card for an upcoming international trip. Also mentioned that I would have easily managed to spend another lakh or so which I had to spend using other bank's card.

My Regalia usage was also good though just before the DCB upgrade.

Where are you facing the acceptance issue? If I may ask which city do you live in? I am from Pune and had 99% acceptance even offline

A lot of international sites don't accept - will of course depend on the country. POS was a problem for smaller stores, and tap pay never worked for me. The gist of it being I can't 100% rely on a single card if even 1 out of 10 places I pay at doesn't accept it!
