Swiggy Credit card issue

I got the Swiggy HDFC credit card recently but the issue is that, this card doesn't work on Amazon for HDFC offers and works only on some offers on Flipkart. I mailed grievance redressal team for this issue but they're clueless and also tried to get this card changed to a core card like Millenia but they denied. Because of this issue, I am not able to use this card, should I close this card now and apply again through c2c route after few months or try again getting this card changed to Millenia?

And what is the cooldown period in HDFC after closing?

It's a good card for cashback purposes. If you want to claim instant discounts on Amazon or Flipkart, then apply for an HDFC Virtual Rupay Card as an additional card.

I have SBI Cashback card too, just want Millenia card as it gives additional cashback. And with this Swiggy card, there are too many MCC restrictions for 5% cashback. Recently I used it on Samsung website, was eligible to receive 5% for electronic category but only received1%

HDFC Millennia gives 5% cashback only on the following 10 merchants:

Amazon, BookMyShow, Cult.fit, Flipkart, Myntra, Sony LIV, Swiggy, Tata CLiQ, Uber, and Zomato.

While HDFC Swiggy gives 5% cashback on all eligible MCCs, HDFC Millennia has a lower monthly cashback cap of ₹1000 compared to ₹1500 on HDFC Swiggy.

HDFC Millennia also has higher annual fees of ₹1000 compared to ₹500 on Swiggy.

Overall, HDFC Swiggy is a better card than HDFC Millennia; the only downside is that it is a co-branded card.

Currently Swiggy credit card is better than Millenia. As mentioned above, get the Virtual Rupay card for instant discount offers. Most of the co-branded cards don't work with other brand's instant offers and that's not just for HDFC.

I used it on samsung site too got 5%. Are you sure it was 1%?, might have also hit the cap of 1500 per statement cycle based on your amount paid.

Yes, agreed there are far too many restrictions with MCC. You will not know whether you are getting the cashback unless the statement is generated and you calculate the cashback. I did a transaction in Reliance Digital online but it did not give me 5% cashback.
