Timeline for a CC Application to remain pending

Hi,
A month back, I applied for Cashback SBI CC (before devaluation happened). I already have a SimplyClick CC with a Credit limit of Rs 20000 ( out of which Rs 14000 was billed and outstanding and around Rs 3000 was unbilled and outstanding). However, during the process, the SBI people contacted me and asked me to pay the billed Rs 14000 and the unbilled Rs 3000. The reason that they gave was that the cashback card would not get a fresh credit limit but instead, the existing credit limit of 20K would be divided into Rs 10K each between SimplyClick and Cashback Cards.
Now at the time, I was short of funds and my outstanding was not due for another 14 days. I paid 10K to increase my credit limit above 10K so they can proceed with issuing the cashback card. However, they insisted I clear my entire dues (i.e remaining billed 4K as well as unbilled 3K). to which I said no as it didn't make sense to me as to why I needed to clear my unbilled outstanding.

The application is pending since then for about 1 month.
5 days ago they called me again and asked to pay my current outstanding so as to complete the process but I denied it and asked them to reject my application (it doesn't make sense to me anymore since the devaluation)...however, the application is still pending and they have not rejected it yet.

Does anybody know how to proceed from here?

SBI customer support said atleast that if any other private bank without single word closes your application.

In 20k, you used 17k and applied for another card. OMG! If you or anyone apply thier credit card utilization need below 5% to 30%. Any loans and pay later should not be otherwise less limit you will get.

Just pay 100% amount even it's unbilled, mail to the nodal officer to reopen, cal for every 3 days asking status until they reopen.

Nowadays, several applications are being pending but actual they are closed or inactive failed for verification I.e call or home or office or documents or cibil etc.

Brother kindly read the entire post once again....I don't need the card anymore and had already asked them to reject my application TWICE but they have not done so as of now....my application is STILL OPEN!!!.

Further, as to my knowledge the utilisation ratio of 30% is considered on overall basis (I have 5 credit cards) and my utilisation ratio was well below 30%..I can use 100% in one card and still my utilisation ratio can remain below 30% overall.

Now, whenever you apply for another SBI CC... generally you get a seperate limit for the new card (and that was my expectation while applying for Cashback CC) but that didn't happen in my case.

They will give separate limit if you are not using the present given limit.

Mr. If you take a car from friend and dust/damage it. And again if you ask him his new car , will you give just be in his place and think?

Banks gives cc to people, who Shops for emi . Not for loots cashback.

First bank consider thier card/loan utilization than other bank. When you have your own house, you will utilize that or by paying transunion asks another house.

First bank verifies customer from thier database than other banks via cibil or third party.

So using a Credit Card with a low limit is equal to damaging a Car?
And how can a bank know to that I would loot them for cashback? Just because I used 85% credit limit of a card which had low limit?

I didn't said low limit = damaging car, I never say this ever.

If I'm using 85% limit means already i was looting, bank bearing me, rewards are doesn't matter.

You are making a payment via cc then cc bank need to settle within 3 working days leaving deals, where does the bank gets the money ? Does it's fd card? You or we maintain that much money in our accounts ?

*** I'm saying for good all. Credit holders who uses much limit and if they good relation with bank. Credit limit enhancement offer will be less. Pre approved offers too less. ***

Banks analyse our spends category wise, shopping, bill payments, travel, wallet reloads etc.

Did you mail them for closure of application? Or connected via customer care? Auto closure will take time I guess, don't know exactly but guessing 45-90 days.
