Transaction history older than 3 months in samsung pay

Is there a way to view transaction history older than 3 months in samsung pay ? History for card and upi transactions is only available for last 3 months

I tried requesting data from privacy.samsung.com but the downloaded data didn't have a file for transaction history

Divorced Samsung pay because of this reason after paytm fiasco
Samsung Pay has been my go-to payment app for a long time. Just the thought of switching to another app feels like a nightmare. It’s so seamlessly integrated—handling everything from UPI, tap-and-pay, and FASTag to recharges, bill payments, and even Digilocker. I love how I can simply pull out my phone, tap to pay, and it’s done. Non-Samsung users, on the other hand, have to open GPay, navigate to cards, enable NFC, make the payment, and then turn off NFC again.

I also like samsung pay but i am avoiding it because of these 3 reasons
1. NO UPI lite
2. Transaction history limited to 3 months
3. Samsung pay wouldn't work with non Samsung devices

And correct me if i am wrong but tap to pay with samsung pay will only work with if nfc is kept enabled on your phone, Samsung pay will automatically enable nfc if u open the app and then try to transact
Same goes with gpay, u can set the default payment app from phone settings and even GPay would work seemlessly if nfc is enabled

No UPI Lite on SPay is advantage:

I faced issues with UPI lite by other apps, wrongfully whenever previous transaction settled and we minimized the app, clicking back sometimes re-pay to same merchant. Even sometimes goes for same merchant if by mistake entered amount all within a second without second thought.

Entering PIN is preferred for me to review merchant name and amount one final time.

Transaction history limited to 3 months helps to secure data:

I strongly believe that my transaction data shouldn't be these apps, it should be with banks where I can filter UPI based on keyword in statement. These apps shouldn't store my transaction data after some period especially when its related to finance data. This is alreay problematic with pytm, amznpay and new apps now categorizing and seggregation my lifestyle based on those transactions.

So, SPay works mostly here because it auto (hides or deletes) my data more than 3 months with no categorization.

I'll stick with slice for small upi transactions then because i do atleast 2-3 transactions daily and that would unnecessarily clutter bank statements

Valid points for transaction history

My brother uses OP12 and always he has to on off the nfc manually unlike samsung.
I have set GPay as default nfc payments app because of ace 10% offer and it works flawlessly on my samsung phone

If the transaction amount is higher than a certain amount ( i assume it's 2k) then gpay will prompt u to verify using fp after u tap at machine and then u have to tap again after verifying with biometrics which is kinda annoying

That's again a samsung only feature maybe. Rest all open the slider, on the nfc do the payment and then off the ndc.

its more or like app feature like if need bluetooth permission or nearby devices they enable automatically and disable once close the app.

check in settings somewhere 'apps that turned wifi on or off automatically', 'bluetooth' etc.

i am not sure but apps need "allow system settings" permission to toggle nfc
Android apps don't need to explicitly request wifi control permissions

samsung..

settings -> apps -> (three dots) special access -> wifi control.

there are many here, check for bluetooth, nearby devices, wifi, pip. full screen etc.

I kept control and avoid apps to use wifi unnecessarily for last 2 or 3 years.

even miui also has the same because I remembered mi even calculator, compass need internet permission, which we can deny in settings and somewhere in settings this wifi control (will update exact path by night).

in android especially current versions need every permission to specify and provide control to user unlike earlier versions (pre-covid) where allow all exist.

In short, for me its better to know which app automatically turning on system settings as they like and a lot better if I control them.
