MB points can fetch 1.5-3 Rs/pt on specific properties. Specifically expensive Maldives properties are available for redemption around 2.5 - 3Rs. This looks like a great find within India where the value seems to much lower in general

On discussing at the hotel, staff were saying that Marriott Bonvoy will be promoted with greater benefits in India for their expansion. Hope this is true and works out for us.

On Maldives properties either of any Marriott group will be offering great value. Depends on our luck and season we travel.

With this dynamic pricing model, it has become trickier otherwise they had fixed points for each property irrespective of the season etc all this while. Was much easier to plan. But great to hear that there is focus on their India offerings.

with the success of Axis Vistara with Axis, SBI, IndusInd and HDFC Regalia Gold credit card (CV Silver Tier) seems Indigo also want to start some loyalty programmes and tie up with some banks. I am not sure how it worked. I redeemed two tickets using Vistara portal. For my child I couldn't book ticket through portal because child has to be accompanied by Adult. Then spoke to the Vistara executive and requested them to book and I have received a payment link to pay the taxes portion, paid it and got the ticket.

Just booking normal economy and once u get PNR cust care calling and giving them upgrade voucher code they alter ur class to business

Is the voucher business class upgrade voucher? I thought they will upgrade premium economy to business class (1 class upgrade) and not normal economy.

You can use. But in my case 2 business class award tickets have been booked by me, so for upgrading my child ticket I had to go to the check in counter and asked them for an upgrade using voucher.

To upgrade they have some set of rules:

1. 3 or more tickets should be available 2 hours before departure,
2. 1 or more tickets should be available 1 hour before departure.

You can do it at the gates also, if vouchers are available.

It's the reverse actually. Voucher tickets can't be upgraded, but Points tickets can be.

I tried book Club Vistara for July MAA to BOM for 6 but got 4 award tickets only so need to get other 2 tickets by cash

Missed on your message yesterday. 3 people (2A + 1C). So it was easy on getting award seats on Vistara.

I actually have used all types of upgrades

1. Economy (rev/ CV points) to prem eco- using 1 voucher
2. Eco (rev/ CV points) to Biz- using 2 vouchers
3. Prem Eco (rev/CV points) to Biz- using 1 voucher
4. Prem Eco (Voucher) to Biz- using 1 Voucher via Cust care (if any seats for redemptions seats available) and at Check in counter)-
5. Prem Eco (Voucher) to Biz- using 1 Voucher via Check in counter (when no standard redemptions seats available but regular unoccupied seats available)

Hope it clarifies the usage of CV points and voucher.

I can confirm that United shows Vistara seats available even when Vistara's website doesn't. However, the points required to book via United are almost double of what is required via vistara.com

But when you call customer care they're able to check and confirm availability properly. For me Delhi to Chennai sector was showing as available but ticket booking kept failing. When I called using Skype, they suggested an alternate itinerary which went through

My brother have 3 co branded cards and 1 core card. (Indigo XL, Tata Neu Infinity, Swiggy & Money Back). I am not getting 2nd co branded card apart from Tata Neu they are saying they can't provide 2nd co branded card. So it's upto luck. Just apply and check your luck.
