The app says I need to start the plan by 31st Dec, 2024.

It has not. Card is activated by scanning the barcode but I can start the plan by 31s Dec 2024. I have a planned trip next month so will be utilizing then.

I activated my sim but plan not started automatically. We will have to do it manually.

Good then. In FAQ it was written plan needs to be activated within 6 months.

1) once you receive SIM card, Scan and add the SIM to your account.(Data package won't activate immediately)

2) while you are on international roaming then click the Data package to activate.(1GB 5days package).

yes anytime. but those who ordered multiple cards, may get into confusion as of which is for which account. first world problem.

On a OnePlus 9R phone which supports E-SIM , I did not get the option of a free e-SIM.
I only got the option of a physical SIM card delivered to my address.
When I click status-- get SIM, I able to see e-SIM for $5, not free

You have to scan only received SIM card first, later you can activate the Roaming Data package with specified time limit given to you.( my data package expiry at 31st Dec 2024)

you can safely wait for 6 months at least.
